Abstract The Guerbet reaction of ethanol to heavier products was performed over a series extensively characterized Sr‐substituted hydroxyapatites (HAPs) with different (Ca+Sr)/P ratios, and thus structural, textural, acid–base properties. properties were correlated the reactivity solids an optimal ratio between amount acid basic sites determined (ca. 4), whereas conversion mainly depending on specific surface area solids. stoichiometric 100 mol % sample (SrAp‐100) especially efficient in...

SBA-CaCl2 (SCa) composites with high CaCl2 content were prepared using nonfunctionalized and methyl- carboxyl-functionalized mesoporous SBA-15 supports, their thermochemical heat storage (TCHS) performances have been investigated a thermogravimetric/differential scanning calorimetry (TG/DSC) system coupled humidity generator. This paper presents the influence of silica (SBA-15) functionalization on structural–textural properties SCa consequently water sorption performances. All exhibited...

Catalytic dehydration of isopropanol to propylene is a common reaction in laboratories characterize the acid–base properties catalysts. When acetone produced, it sign presence basic active sites, while produced on acid sites. About 2/3rd world production made from propylene, and other third hydrogenation. Since surplus available market mainly coproduct phenol synthesis, variations demand for affect supply position vice versa. High price low should revive industrial interest conversion. In...

Four NiO-based oxygen carrier materials (OCMs) were prepared by wet impregnation on different supports: alumina, silica, titania, and zirconia. Physicochemical properties of calcined OCMs determined X-ray diffraction, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, H2-temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) techniques. Alumina (Ni–Al) titania (Ni–Ti) supported exhibited strong metal oxide–support interaction, forming mixed compounds such as NiAl2O4 NiTiO3, respectively, along with NiO. In contrast, only NiO species...

Mono and bimetallic catalysts based on Pt Pd were prepared by a co-precipitation method. They tested in liquid phase hydrogenation reactions of glucose furfural at low temperature pressure. The PtPd/TiO2 catalyst proved to be an efficient material selectively hydrogenating sorbitol. Moreover, high conversion was attained under relatively soft conditions, the furfuryl alcohol selectivity strongly affected chemical composition catalysts. Furfuryl (FA) major product most cases, along with side...
