A relatively straightforward procedure has been developed for the purification of chloroplast fructose bisphosphatase from spinach leaves to apparent homogeneity and with 80% yield. The molecular weight enzyme was about 160000. Chloroplast fructosebisphosphatase consists four possibly identical subunits and, at pH 8.8, easily dissociates into equal halves lowered activity. Sigmoid saturation curves Hill coefficients between 3.0 3.7 were obtained 1,6‐bisphosphate Mg 2+ . Incubation 20 mM...

The missing links between the normal, planar polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and buckyballs are bowl-shaped C30H12 buckybowls 1, 2, 3. All three were prepared by flash vacuum pyrolysis of suitable precursors. best yields obtained when radical centers generated at defined positions homolysis CBr CC bonds to initiate critical cyclizations.

The discovery of the net-cyclization 1,3-hexadien-5-yne to benzene at temperatures around 250 °C was followed, particularly during 1990s, by an increasing number investigations ability other compounds possessing a substructure cycloaromatize. This has led remarkable syntheses with very interesting molecular structures and, in particular, pronouncedly bowl-shaped, nonalternating PAHs, carbon skeletons which represent fullerene subunits. Substantial insights into three mutually exclusive...
A complete datamodel for an integrated VLSI design system is developed in a stepwise manner. This introduces unified view of all domains and hierarchy levels that result considerable simplification the communication among tools. We defined five basic objects: cell, interface, contents, instance configuration high level description data. The model also covers views, types, alternatives, versions history. In particular our handling demonstrates reasonable response times, due to strict...
A laboratory based high resolution x-ray radiograph was developed for the investigation of solidification dynamics in alloys. It is on a low-power microfocus tube and potentially appropriate diagnostics space. The microscope offers spatial down to approximately 5 μm. Dynamic processes can be resolved with frequency up 6 Hz. In reference experiments, setup optimized yield contrast AlCu-alloys. With samples about 150 μm thickness, quality image sequences process were obtained time
Prototype of a new aromatization reaction: thermal rearrangement 1,3-hexadiene-5-yne (1) to benzene (3) via isobenzene 2, highly reactive benezene isomer. Trapping experiments with styrene and the behavior arenes containing 1 as subunit indicate that this isomerization is also suitable for preparing condensed fullerene fragments.
In the frame of ESA-MAP (Microgravity Application Promotion) project entitled XRMON (In situ X-Ray MONitoring advanced metallurgical processes under microgravity and terrestrial conditions), a (μg) experiment in XRMON-GF (Gradient Furnace) setup was successfully launched 2012 on board MASER 12 sounding rocket. During this experiment, real time observations formation solidification microstructures diffusive conditions were carried out for first by using X-ray radiography. addition, two...
