The fluctuation of vegetable prices in recent years underscores the need to identify contributing factors and develop effective policies. In order examine affecting prices, this paper uses a structural model constructed by demand, supply, import, export functions decompose price variance, also performs numerical simulation generalize results. We studied Korean market, selected cabbage, radish, dried red pepper, garlic, onion as research objects. results indicates that variability domestic...
Abstract The vegetable market experiences significant price fluctuations due to the complex interplay of trend, cyclical, seasonal, and irregular factors. This study takes Korean green onions as an example employs Christiano–Fitzgerald filter CensusX‐13 seasonal adjustment methods decompose its into four components: fluctuations. To estimate volatility forecast future prices, we apply ARMA‐GARCH model use various statistical measures assess prediction accuracy. empirical results demonstrate...
The eco-friendly certification system is designed to ensure safe agricultural products consumers while minimizing environmental pollution. However, despite its advantages, it not widely adopted due a possible decrease of farmers’ income. In order provide implication for activating the system, this paper examines attributes green tea which affect consumers’ preferences and estimates willingness pay (WTP) in China. A choice experiment survey employed data collection, random utility model used...
This study aims to examine the carbon substitution effect in Korea's major carbon-intensive industry, construction industry. To accomplish this, we estimate factor demand functions for building and maintenance industry as well civil using SUR model. Subsequently, conduct a simulation analysis assess resulting from replacement of wood with other inputs each The data utilized this are gathered Bank Input-Output table producer price index. estimated results reveal substitutive relationship...
This study estimates the producer’s willingness to accept (WTA) and consumer’s pay (WTP) for GAP-certified agricultural products. We apply contingent valuation method (CVM) with producer consumer survey data. The results suggest that is turned out be lowest fruits followed by grains vegetables. On other hand, turns relatively higher in than fruit-vegetables Accordingly, difference between WTP WTA largest smallest order of this exactly same as GAP certification rate each category product....
In 2018, African Swine Fever (ASF) first broke out in China and had a noticeable effect on China’s pork market the entire meat market. This paper models market, including pork, beef, mutton, poultry, examines how outbreak of ASF impacts structural changes demand. We use inverse almost ideal demand system (IAIDS) model employ province-level consumption price data to form panel set 30 provinces from 2015 2020. Our results indicate that has significant impact for mutton. Based estimated...
We examine the effect of US-China trade war on international feed grain futures markets and China’s pork market by using univariate GARCH model with considering structural breaks in each market. Granger causality test DCC-GARCH are applied to changes relationship between presence war. The analytical results suggest that has a significant negative volatility soybean price, but it exacerbated Chinese prices. Our empirical also confirm stable existed pre-trade period, was disrupted after broke out.
Decision-making on the number of slaughtered heads considering change in breeding is an important issue for Hanwoo-breeding farmers. While previous studies treat Hanwoo terms supply function, this study differs way that it develops a model incorporate both and demand sides. The cattle raised forecasted using estimates heads, under one year age, actual period. result precision estimating indicates accuracy very high.
The primary purpose of this study is to present the importance and necessity environmentally-friendly fishery. We estimates economic value by dividing environmental conservation functions fishery into maintaining bio-diversity, improving quality water, reducing greenhouse gas. estimations are implemented contingent valuation method(CVM). WTP estimated be 2,219 won for 2,342 2,474 For group people who well aware these functions, amount 400 1,200 higher than other group.
In this study, the Gini coefficient is estimated and decomposed within as well between forest industries according to income components. Analytical results indicate that average for entire sample from 2009 2018 0.478 which can be interpreted a high level of inequality in forestry household exists. Forestry investment subsidies are proven play vital role alleviating households. This study suggests government needs increase public order mitigate inequality.
