Abstract Carbon cloth (CC) possesses great potential as a sulfur host because of its excellent conductivity, flexibility, and easily modified free‐standing structure. However, the previous works do not take full advantage CC except for role support current collector. The smooth surface, small specific surface area, poor binding force between coating materials matrix are unfavorable loading materials. slow redox kinetics low cathodes still seriously restrict development Lithium–Sulfur (Li–S)...
This review highlights the impacts of four core effects ( i.e. high entropy, cocktail effect, lattice distortion and sluggish diffusion) microstructures HEAs on their catalytic properties.
Summary The distribution and importance of anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) nitrite‐dependent methane (n‐damo) have been identified in aquatic ecosystems; their role agricultural upland soils however has not yet well investigated. In this study, we examined spatio‐temporal distributions anammox n‐damo bacteria soil profiles (300 cm depth) from an upland. Monitoring nitrogen (N) conversion activity using isotope‐tracing techniques over the course one year showed denitrification (99.0%...
Abstract Green production of NH 3 , especially the Li‐mediated electrochemical N 2 reduction reaction (NRR) in non‐aqueous solutions, is attracting research interest. Controversies regarding NRR mechanism greatly impede its optimization and wide applications. To understand electrocatalytic process, we treated Au coated carbon fibrous paper (Au/CP) as model catalyst. In situ XRD confirmed transformation lithium intermediates during NRR. improved electron transfer kinetics to catalyze metallic...
Artificial microbial nitrogen (N) cycle hotspots in the plant-bed/ditch system were developed and investigated based on intact core slurry assays measurement using isotopic tracing technology, quantitative PCR high-throughput sequencing. By increasing hydraulic retention time periodically fluctuating water level heterogeneous riparian zones, of anammox, nitrification, denitrification, ammonium (NH4+) oxidation, nitrite (NO2–) nitrate (NO3–) reduction DNRA all stimulated at interface...
To study the spontaneous combustion characteristics of preheated coal treated by liquid nitrogen (LN2), surface structure test, thermal analysis experiment and chemical characteristic were used to change structure, oxidation under action LN2 quenching. The results showed that with increase preheating temperature, fractal dimension, specific area, pore volume average diameter (quenched-coal) increase. With condition, CO CO2 produced at ST 230 ℃ are 1.19 times 1.21 higher than those 70 ℃....
Nanocrystalline ZrO 2 , SnO and TiO were synthesized through a simple hydrolytic process based on the etherification of alcohols. The obtained products had good uniformity less aggregated than in other synthesis techniques. this was dependent mainly reaction temperature, whereas morphologies exhibited dependence alcohols used.
The Pt/C electrocatalysts containing Pr(6)O(11) nanorods were successfully prepared. By various electrochemical characterization methods, it was demonstrated that the have an obviously promotive role for ethanol electrooxidation catalyzed by Pt/C. However, according to stripping experiment, effect of does not result from easier intermediate adsorbate on Pt-Pr(6)O(11)/C than It supposed could promote a certain step in oxidation, and special morphology further enhance activity compared with...
The extensive use of ibuprofen (IBU) and other pharmaceuticals personal care products (PPCPs) causes them widely to exist in nature be frequently detected water bodies. Advanced catalytic oxidation processes (AOPs) are often used as an efficient way degrade them, the research on heterogeneous catalysts has become a hot spot field AOPs. Among transitional metal-based catalysts, metal cobalt been proved effective element activating peroxymonosulfate (PMS) produce strong oxidizing components....
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) is a typical kind of pollutant with complex composition, and different advanced treatments demonstrate abilities toward its fractional removal. Hence, it necessary to analyze the fraction DOM that remains when using treatments. In this paper, ozonation was used deal biological effluents comparisons catalytic particle sizes γ-Al2O3 were made. The results these indicated catalysts active in improving removal can selectively remove DOM. result fluorescence showed...
The structures, stabilities, nature of bonding, and potential energy surfaces low-energy isomers planar CnB5 (n = 1−7) have been systematically explored at the CCSD(T)/6-311+G(d)//B3LYP/6-311+G(d) level. Incremental binding (IBE) second order difference (Δ2E) analyses demonstrate that clusters with even n relatively higher stability. bonding in these is discussed based on valence molecular orbital (VMO), Mayer bond (MBO). Hückel (4n + 2) rule nucleus-independent chemical shift (NICS) values...
Using municipal sewage as a source of reclaimed water is an important way to alleviate the shortage resources. At present, advanced oxidation technology (AOPs), represented by ozone oxidation, widely used in wastewater treatment. In this study, γ-Al2O3, low-cost traditional catalyst, was selected matrix. By modifying magnetic γ-Fe2O3 with titanate coupling agent, situ deposition, and calcination, final formation γ-Al2O3/TiO2/γ-Fe2O3 micrometer catalyst achieved. A variety material...
Abstract With the development of urbanization and industrialization, excessive use metals leads to a sharp decrease in soil resources. Funan River runs through whole urban area Chengdu, surrounding population density is large, environmental governance needs exist all year round. It great significance test heavy metal content this area. Under current pollution, mainly refer biotoxic materials such as lead, cadmium, mercury chromium, which are widely distributed atmosphere, water, other...
The ion exchange resin is mainly composed of carbon, and it can form carbon material after calcination in the isolation oxygen. Meanwhile, nitrogen doping metal-based materials has attracted extensive attention activating peroxymonosulfate (PMS) to produce active groups degradation refractory organic pollutants. In this study, used D001 served as source catalyst carrier, cobalt ions adsorbed by impregnation, then mixed with dicyandiamide balls formed calcined (N-Co/D001CB). After doping,...
