Continuous monitoring of an arterial pulse using a pressure sensor attached on the epidermis is important technology for detecting early onset cardiovascular disease and assessing personal health status. Conventional sensors have capability human biosignals, but significant drawbacks power consumption issues that limit sustainable operation wearable medical devices. Here, self-powered piezoelectric demonstrated to enable in vivo measurement radial/carotid signals near-surface arteries. The...
A flexible piezoelectric energy harvester was demonstrated by an aerosol-deposited PZT film to realize a self-powered wireless sensor node system. The harvesting device can generate voltage of 200 V and current 35 μA. constructed integrating the harvester, rectifying/storage circuit, temperature-sensor measure ambient temperature wirelessly transmit data monitor. As service our authors readers, this journal provides supporting information supplied authors. Such materials are peer reviewed...
Additional surgeries for implantable biomedical devices are inevitable to replace discharged batteries, but repeated can be a risk patients, causing bleeding, inflammation, and infection. Therefore, developing self‐powered is essential reduce the patient's physical/psychological pain financial burden. Although wireless communication plays critical role in that contain function of data transmitting, it has never been integrated with vivo piezoelectric system due its high‐level power...
Wearable blood-pressure sensors have recently attracted attention as healthcare devices for continuous non-invasive arterial pressure (CNAP) monitoring. However, the accuracy of wearable (BP) monitoring has been controversial due to low signal quality sensors, absence an accurate transfer function convert sensor signals into BP values, and lack clinical validation regarding measurement precision. Here, a piezoelectric (WPBPS) is reported, which achieves high normalized sensitivity (0.062...
A junctionless-accumulation-mode (JAM) p-channel MOSFET is successfully implemented based on a junction-isolated bulk FinFET for the first time. The JAM devices with fin width of 16 nm show outstanding transfer characteristics: 1) subthreshold swing (SS min ) = 68 mV/dec; 2) drain-induced-barrier-lowering 9 mV/V; and 3) I xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">ON /I...
We report the confinement of recombination zone (RZ) in green phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (Ph-OLEDs) for enhanced efficiency by varying emission layer (EML) thickness and through quantum well (QW) insertion. At low EML, is reduced owing to diffusion RZ toward EML/hole transport interface, which was revealed presence exciton blocking [TCTA: tris(4-carbazoyl-9-ylphenyl)amine] excitation accompanied a blue-shift electroluminescence (EL). Further increase EML caused move...
Up to four multiple steady states were experimentally observed by hydrogenating cyclohexene on a Pt/Al2O3 catalyst having bimodal distribution. The catalyst, in the form of 3/16-in. cylindrical pellet containing 5.6 wt% platinum γ-alumina support, was imbedded bed inert α-alumina pellets similar size isolate effect individual pellet, and surrounded reacting mixture saturated vapor. reaction run at different temperatures, i.e. 15, 22, 30 40°C, as means changing condition given temperature...
This study evaluated the leakage characteristics of a stepped labyrinth seal. Experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis were conducted for wide range pressure ratios clearance sizes, effect on was analyzed by determining performance seal using dimensionless parameter. It observed from that parameter decreases as size increases, but it tends to increase when exceeds certain value. In other words, revealed there exists specific (Smin) which minimizes To identify cause this...
An effective calculation method for AC resistance and the inductance of planar rectangular spiral coils is proposed. For calculation, a volume filament model its equivalent circuit are provided. By using method, calculated accurately in megahertz frequency range by including both skin proximity effects. The verified with experiments used to optimise maximum quality factor (Q-factor) at 6.78 MHz. A small coil shown have Q-factor when width innermost loop about half that outermost loop.
From numerical calculations, two of the four multiple steady states (branches A and C) obtained on a biporous Pt/AI2O3 catalyst surrounded by reacting mixture containing saturated vapor cyclohexene reported in preceding paper6) can be attributed to behavior filled with condensed liquid its micropores. Stability analysis based heat generation removal curves without considering phase change interior showed only single state, i.e. rate vapor-filled catalyst, while incorporating effect curve...
In this article, a novel energy harvesting (EH) interface for flexible thin-film piezoelectric generator (FPEG) is proposed EH from irregular human motion. The traditional thick (PEG) based kinetic circuits are designed continuous and sinusoidal inputs the cantilever-based structures not suitable circuit significantly enhances extraction with load-screening scheme, which minimizes load capacitance to maximize PEG output voltage up 102 V while using standard 0.18- <italic...

The proposed is designed based on the model predictive control approach to consider low friction condition of driving road. reference state defined by using desired yaw rate driven from geometry path. To compare effectiveness control, two different models are used define optimization problem. first point mass determine required moment generate lateral motion. actuator...
The manufacturing industry has been actively adapting ICT (Information and Communication Technology) into the field with keywords such as 4th industrial revolution. Due to collecting information data analytics technologies, products, machines process in traditional have become smart. In textile industry, an efficiency a dyeing greatly depends on energy usage. Thus, researchers dyeing-finishing factories focus this area. They trying make efficient through various experiments, but haven't...

However, 2000s, PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry), LDV(Lase Doppler Velocimerty), computational analytical performed in...
Heat conduction dynamics are described by partial differential equations. Their approximations with a set of finite number ordinary equations often required for simpler computations and analyses. Rational the Laplace solutions such as Pade approximation can be used this purpose. For some heat problems appearing in semi-infinite slab, however, rational not easy to obtain because analytic at origin. In article, continued fraction method has been proposed slab.
A cooling channel with an optimized design provides not only high throughput gravity die casting, but also guarantees product quality. conformal (CC) whose structure follows the shapes or surfaces of mold cavity has attracted great attention in casting industry, because it allows rapid and uniform cooling. However, implementing remains highly challenging, complicated geometries CC are difficult to form using conventional fabrication methods such as drilling milling. In recent years, advances...
