The second harmonic generation efficiency was studied for the single crystalline potassium dihydrogen phosphate matrix with incorporated TiO2 nanocrystals in field of mode-locked Nd:YAG laser pulses. For first time frequency conversion gain observed KDP:TiO2 crystal (SC) instead KDP SC due to internal self-focusing effect pump beam caused by giant cubic nonlinear optical response embedded nanoparticles.

Abstract For the first time photo‐electromotive force (photo‐EMF) measurements were carried out for CdTe crystals doped with V atoms as a result of photogeneration carriers from deep impurity centers to conduction band. Tilted geometry was applied that allowed two‐dimensional monitoring vi‐ bration source. For the first time, diagnostics of oxyorthosilicates single crystals based on self-action picosecond range laser pulses at 1,064 nm (1.17 eV) has been performed. High sensitivity photoinduced refractive index variation to substitution Lu atoms by Gd in LSO/LGSO crystalline host as well admixture Ce was found. The effect can be explained with different electron detrapping-recombination process efficiencies due resonant excitation from deep traps gap attributed intrinsic oxygen vacancies.

ABSTRACT We have examined the efficiency of various techniques for determination nonlinear optical response (NLO) dye-doped liquid crystals. The intensity ranges where each technique is optimal are defined. propose an approach precise and detailed NLO measurements as a function dye concentration when parameters samples vary in wide range change significantly after light-induced Freedericksz transition.
