The choice of method for drug amorphization depends on various factors, including the physicochemical properties active pharmaceutical ingredients, desired formulation, and scalability requirements. It is often important to consider a combination methods or use excipients further enhance stability performance amorphous drug. This study presents comparison techniques melt quench, hot extrusion, solvent evaporation, ball milling, lyophilization used preparation ibrutinib. material was...
The crystallization of poorly soluble drug molecules with an excipient into new solid phases called cocrystals has gained a considerable popularity in the pharmaceutical field. In this work, cocrystal approach was explored for very water antifungal active, itraconazole (ITR), which was, first time, successfully converted multicomponent using aromatic coformer, terephthalic acid (TER). characterized terms its solid-state and structural properties, panel tests including wettability dissolution...
The influence of the poly(N-ethyl-2-ethynylpyridinium iodide) (PEEP-I) concentration on morphology and optical properties nanocomposite systems prepared by mixing polymer solution with a hydrosol ca. 9 nm Ag nanoparticles (NPs) was investigated combination surface plasmon extinction (SPE) measurements, transmission electron microscope (TEM) imaging surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). PEEP-I found to have strong impact assembly NPs and, consequently, responses composite systems. At...
The pharmaceutical salt ivabradine hydrochloride is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris and heart failure. It exhibits extensive polymorphism co-crystallization, which could be a way to provide an alternative solid form. We conducted co-crystal screen, from two hits were identified: with (S)-mandelic (R)-mandelic acid. Both structures determined single-crystal X-ray diffraction data as co-crystals. co-crystals further characterized by common solid-state...
Polymorphism is of great interest to the pharmaceutical industry because polymorphs have different physicochemical properties such as dissolution rate. In present work, influence process conditions on polymorphic antisolvent crystallization and transformations during cooling agomelatine metastable form X from water/methanol solution has been investigated with a view designing robust that includes not only but also filtration, filter cake washing, drying. The competitive stability method was...
Laser ablation (LA) of a Ag target in ultrapure water has been performed with nanosecond laser pulses 355, 532 and 1064 nm the range fluences achievable for particular wavelength. Efficiency LA process was quantified terms amount ablated as determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) well area surface plasmon extinction (SPE) band resulting nanoparticle hydrosol, fairly good agreement between results produced two methods obtained. Sigmoidally shaped plots efficiency function fluence...
The gastrointestinal absorption of bisphosphonates is in general only about 1%. To address this problem mixtures risedronate monosodium salt with twelve varied sugar alcohols, furanoses, pyranoses and eight gluco-, manno- galactopyranoside derivatives as counterions were designed an effort to prepare co-crystals/new entities improved intestinal absorption. Crystalline forms generated by means kinetically and/or thermodynamically controlled crystallization processes. One hundred fifty-two...
Abstract The performance of a pharmaceutical formulation, such as the drug (API) release rate, is significantly influenced by properties materials used, composition final product and tablet compression process parameters. However, in some cases, knowledge these input parameters does not necessarily provide reliable description or prediction performance. Therefore, microstructure desirable to understand formulations. Commonly used analytical techniques, X-ray tomography intrusion mercury...
Abstract Summary: A two‐phase method has been adapted for the preparation of polymer composites consisting regioregular poly(3‐octylthiophene‐2,5‐diyl) and Au or Ag nanoparticles. This work compares optical morphological properties nanocomposites formed by mixing metal organosols solution (type I composites) with in‐situ reduction in solutions II composites). Both types contained very small nanoparticles (1–10 nm). Interestingly, more than ten‐fold enhancement Raman scattering...
Abstract Summary: The stabilizing effect of Au nanoparticles on electrical conductivity poly(3‐octylthiophene‐2,5‐diyl) based composite films was investigated. For the content 1 vol %, turning point where starts to decrease, shifts 110 °C, compared with 50 °C for neat polymer. At low temperatures, composites show common activation energy E a = 0.3 eV independent nanoparticle concentration. It corresponds polymer and suggests that is controlled by same mechanism.
