From among the subjects of a follow‐up study on cases autism conducted by authors in 1990, 179 for which precise records were available infancy period selected evaluation relationship between occurrence setback phenomenon and long‐term prognosis. The following results obtained: (i) significantly higher rate epilepsy group compared to non‐setback group; (ii) lower level language development upon entering elementary school group, although difference present levels adaptation two groups was not...

Abstract This study was performed to investigate the relationship between mental state (especially flow experience [Flow Experience Checklist of Ishimura]) health‐related quality life (Medical Outcome Study 8‐Item Short‐Form Health Survey), and stress (salivary amylase concentrations). The subjects were 119 healthy elderly persons living in rural areas who participated a “meeting for elderly” at nursing home Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. classified into apathetic, anxious, relaxed, groups. It...

A survey was conducted on the present behavioral characteristics of 187 cases adult autism in patients over 18␣years age employing Achenbach's Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). When their were evaluated relation to Present Language Developmental Level (PLDL) and Adaptive (PAL), it seen that greater variation behavior among those exhibiting increasingly lower PLDL PAL scores. reminiscent depression noted even high PLDL. pointing obsession found common almost all irrespective or PAL. A 74‐year‐old woman with extensive inoperable vulval extramammary Paget's disease who had lymph node and pulmonary metastases, was treated etoposide (VP16) 100 mg 5000 cGy electron beam irradiation, which reduced the lesion by 60%. Following these interventions, residual successfully repeated photodynamic therapy using δ‐aminolaevulinic acid, achieved a nearly complete remission.

By RT-PCR, FLT3 was detected 45/74 (61%) leukaemia cell lines frequency significantly higher undifferentiated type (B-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukaemia; ALL) than differentiated (B-ALL) (P = 0.0076). Culture broth from an isolate of Phoma glomerata (no. 324, = JCM 9972) the leaves Viola sp., controlled soilborne pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae which causes clubroot disease cruciferous plants. This effect was caused by epoxydon (5‐hydroxy‐3‐(hydroxymethyl)‐7‐oxabicyclo[4.1.0]hept‐3‐en‐2‐one). Although this substance known to have antitumour activity, phytotoxicity and antiauxin no plant reduction had been reported previously. Epoxydon possessed neither strong antimicrobial activity nor...

We have successfully fabricated 1.3-/spl mu/m AlGaInAs strain-compensated multiple-quantum-well (MQW) buried-heterostructure (BH) lasers by narrow-stripe selective metalorganic vapor-phase epitaxy. Based on the optimization of strain compensated MQW and Al-oxidation-free BH process, we obtained a low-threshold current 12.5 mA relaxation frequency more than 10 GHz at 85/spl deg/C for Fabry-Perot lasers. For distributed feedback lasers, demonstrated 10-Gb/s operation transmission over 16 Km...

Loops are directly defined on an instruction execution string rather than a directed graph model of program derived from the source code. A simple efficient algorithm to find loops and subloops thus is presented.

The formation, which uses diffusion source this oxide implanted with BF/sub 2/ ions, can be easily used in combination SST technology. Furthermore, the collector electrode is formed by trench-filled phosphorous-doped polysilicon, reduces transistor area resistance.
