This paper focuses on fundamental aspects associated with H adsorption at the solid/liquid and solid/gas interfaces compares electroadsorption from electrolyte dissociative chemisorption gas phase. At interface, two distinguishable electroadsorbed species are observed, underpotential deposited overpotential , their roles in hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) absorption discussed. there is only one species, chemisorbed which can undergo interfacial transfer into metal. Three distinct...
Research on the underpotential deposition of hydrogen (UPD H) Pt electrodes by cyclic voltammetry in 0.05, 0.10, and 0.50 M aqueous solutions at temperatures from 273 to 343 K shows that adsorption‐desorption profiles shift toward less positive values upon temperature (T) increase. Treatment experimental results based a general electrochemical adsorption isotherm allows determination as function T surface coverage, θHUPD ; varies −11 −25 kJ mol−1. The relation between for , which is −40 −90...
Electron spectroscopic and diffraction results obtained in ultra-high-vacuum, combined with cyclic voltammetric data, are reported for sulfur adlayers deposited from aqueous sulfide bisulfide media on Pt(111). The highest coverage by Auger electron spectroscopy, 0.94 ± 0.05 monolayer, is very close to the coulometry, associated a (1×1) surface phase. This much higher than that previous electrochemical studies but same as found other investigators using S2 beam dosing vacuum. near complete...
Investigation of the underpotential deposition hydrogen (UPD H) on Rh electrodes in 0.05, 0.10, and 0.50 M aqueous solutions H2SO4 273−343 K temperature range by cyclic voltammetry (CV) demonstrates that upon increase CV profiles shift toward less-positive values. The adsorption/desorption diagrams are symmetric with respect to potential axis, indicating UPD H is a reversible process. Theoretical treatment experimental data based an electrochemical adsorption isotherm allows determination...
Abstract Microwave-assisted and thermal condensations of aromatic aliphatic aldehydes with β-naphthol adsorbed onto montmorillonite K-10 were conducted in a one-pot procedure leading to the formation variety xanthene derivatives. Under microwave irradiation, reactions completed within 4–6 min. The is applicable both aldehydes, catalyst was recycled reused efficiently later reactions.
Detecting an imaging signal from a small number of cells is vital when disease needs to be diagnosed in early stage development. Molecular and genetic information cancer cell types provide guide for specific based on gene expression their activities the membrane. Various physical biological parameters affect capability system efficient procedure biomarker imaging. Iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles conjugated breast monoclonal antibody (Her2) were used as contrast agent detection tumor nude...
The possibility of utilizing an endohedrally hydrogen‐filled fullerene (C60) system as a hydrogen detecting and monitoring has been investigated via molecular dynamic simulation (MD) density functional theory (DFT) calculations at B3LYP/6‐31G level theory. results indicate that the dominating phenomenon is physisorption, due to weak interaction molecule with fullerene, there not significant change in electronic properties C60 after H2 encapsulation.
Photocatalytic degradation of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) was investigated in an aerated UV/TiO2 batch system. The effects TiO2 photocatalyst loading, temperature, pH, initial concentration, and the type gas phase on reaction rate were ascertained, optimum conditions for maximum determined. results showed that photocatalytic NMP is strongly influenced by these parameters. which provides enough surface area without irradiation loss due to scattering UV light, found be 0.1 wt %. It revealed...
