The paste/mortar attached to the recycled aggregate decreases quality of and needs be stripped. stripped is roughly 20% 50% in waste concrete, but relevant research very limited. In this paper, effects ground concrete (GWC) powder, coming from paste/mortar, on water demand for normal consistency, setting time, fluidity, compressive strength cement were analyzed. results show that GWC powder (by mass binder) has little effect above properties can prepare C20 concrete; when sand made by red...

Abstract Internal curing by superabsorbent polymer (SAP) is an effective method to mitigate the autogenous shrinkage of cement‐based materials with low water‐to‐cement ratio (w/c). In this study, water absorption/desorption kinetics SAP were studied quantitatively in blended cement pastes ultra‐low w/c. An absorption process at a rate 0 6 g/(g h) was calculated early ages. After that, SAPs showed mainly two distinct desorption behaviors 1.1 h), which governed osmotic pressure and capillary...

Effect of calcium sulfate variety on the microstructure and properties cement-based grouting materials made by sulfoaluminate cement clinker, resource, quicklime was investigated in this paper. Isothermal calorimetric, XRD, DTA-TG, SEM-EDS were used to characterize reaction process materials. The mechanical property expansion harden body also tested. results showed that (1) formation ettringite can be completed during first 2 h when gypsum selected, causing nonexpansion body, tends...

Abstract Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) is widely recognized for its high toughness, which directly affected by the dispersion of steel fiber and loading mode. To investigate reinforcement effect fiber, this paper summarizes influencing factors, evaluation methods, theoretical models in UHPC. First, results reveal that a scientifically designed mixture can reduce cost dosage UHPC improve adjusting matrix rheological properties. The optimum plastic viscosity slurry should range from...

In this work, related performances of asphalt binders with Bayer red mud powder (RMP) were studied. RMP replaced the traditional limestone (LSP) as a filler in binder. The replacement rates 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, respectively. study, seven F/A (filler-to-asphalt, weight/weight) ratios for each fillers selected: 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.1. Penetration, softening point, rotational viscosity (RV), dynamic shear rheometry (DSR), bending beam (BBR) tests used to evaluate properties...

Fine coal gangue aggregate (CGA) has a high water absorption, which increases the cracking risk of mortar caused by dry shrinkage. The effects polypropylene (PP) fiber on fluidity, strength, shrinkage, and CGA were studied in this paper. results show that PP reduces fluidity mortar, but improves compressive flexural strengths, especially at early stages. also effectively decreases shrinkage cracking. Overall, can improve properties mortar.
