Less frequently studied plant triterpenoids betulonic acid and platanic were selected to design, synthesize investigate their oxime derivatives as novel potentially effective cytotoxic and/or antiviral agents.
Cytotoxicity data: 8a: IC50 [μM]: 18.8/31.8/32.6/17.2 (25.1 ± 8.2), due to the dynamic self-assembly found, low-contrast networks (TEM); 8b: 7.5 1.6, not detected, partly helical structures (TEM).
The results of the most recent investigation triterpenoid-based antiviral agents effective namely in HIV-1 and HSV-1 treatment were reviewed summarized. Several key historical achievements are included to stress consequences continuity this research. Most studied belong into a series compound derived from betulin or betulinic acid, their synthetic derivative called bevirimat. A termination clinical trials bevirimat Phase IIb initiated search for more successful compounds partly designed...
The most successful structures showing their antimicrobial, antiviral or cytotoxic effects. Selectivity of effects has been observed.
Abstract This review is devoted to adaptogens, plant products capable of producing nonspecific responses in the human body, resulting increasing resistance against multiple stressors (physical, chemical or biological) and having a normalizing effect body. Adaptogens must be non‐toxic, harmless, not influencing normal body functions more than required, treating depression, common neuropsychiatric illness, importance which by number new patients every year. Number plants are able produce...
Novel 1,10-phenanthroline–triterpenoid amphiphiles formed nano-assemblies in water, coordinated Cu( ii ) and 64 salts for potential cancer monitoring therapy, displayed cytotoxicity partly dependent on the formation of nano-assemblies.
Moronic acid and morolic acid, less frequently studied plant triterpenoids, were subjected to derivation with several structural modifiers, namely, piperazine-, pyrazine-, 1H-indole- L-methionine-based compounds. Derivation was targeted design prepare novel compounds capable of nano-assembling and/or displaying cytotoxicity. Formation nanostructures has been proven for target that formed different types nanostructures, either in chloroform or water. Isometric nanoparticles broad size...
Oleanolic acid is a natural plant adaptogen, and tryptamine psychoactive drug. To compare their effects of with the effect derivatives, fluorotryptamine amides oleanolic were designed synthesized. The target investigated for pharmacological effect, basic supramolecular self-assembly characteristics. Four human cancer cell lines involved in screening tests performed by standard methods. The ability to display cytotoxicity cause selective apoptosis cervical carcinoma malignant melanoma was seen...
(1) Background: To compare the effect of selected triterpenoids with their structurally resembling derivatives, designing molecular ribbons was targeted to develop compounds selectivity in pharmacological effects. (2) Methods: In synthetic procedures, Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition applied as a key step for introducing 1,2,3-triazole ring part junction unit ribbons. (3) Results: The antimicrobial activity, antiviral and cytotoxicity prepared were studied. Most showed especially on...
