A detailed photoelectrochemical study was carried out in order to identify the nature and properties of passive layers on chromium under different experimental conditions. Different compositions films, related various hydration degrees Cr(III) oxides, have been inferred basis bandgap values measured at changing pH, electrode potential, polarization time. By comparison with air‐grown it has concluded that anhydrous is never formed acidic solution. The water content film increases decreasing...
A semiempirical correlation between the optical band gap of binary oxides and difference electronegativity oxygen metallic elements (Pauling's extraionic energy) is proposed. In frame proposed an estimate repulsive term in total lattice energy ionic obtained very good agreement with existing data. An extension to ternary hydroxides by using concept average cationic or anionic group electronegativity. The usefulness for situ characterization passive films on metals alloys photocurrent...
By anodization of tungsten in acid solutions, oxide films were obtained whose composition depended on the working temperature. In particular, was at 25° and 50°C, but 70°C. Studies electrochromism these seem to show that electrocoloration occurs with different mechanisms according chemical composition. For coloration is due a simultaneous injection electrons H+ ions formation hydrogen bronzes . could occur as result oxygen ion vacancies blue hydrate.
In this work, we report some preliminary results concerning the fabrication of quaternary semiconductor Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films on a flexible substrate through simultaneous electrodeposition elements having different standard electrochemical potentials. CZTS were obtained by potentiostatic deposition from aqueous baths at room temperature and under N2 atmosphere, varying bath composition. Chemical composition structure electrodeposited evaluated EDS, SEM, RAMAN XRD. Preliminary...
The kinetics of growth anodic films have been studied in 0.01Nsolutions , and at room temperature. validity the relationship was verified current density range 0.2–16 mA·cm−2, Nearly constant B values were found all investigated solutions. A lower value dielectric measured for grown phosphoric acid effect phosphate ions incorporation on breakdown voltage is also discussed. hypothesis presence high space charge carefully considered.
An investigation of the surface films on three different ferritic stainless steels was carried out by means photocurrent spectroscopy. All specimens showed detectable photoeffects only after long anodic polarization times in chloride ion‐containing solution. The passive n‐type behavior and bandgap values dependent upon applied potential. A difference observed grown alloys. photoelectrochemical is compared to that layers pure iron chromium. Due lack data Cr a preliminary this metal has been...
This work is aimed at studying the growing process of nanostructures electrodeposited from molybdate aqueous solutions different pH values into pores polycarbonate membrane templates. The challenging issue was opportunity to investigate a rather complex deposition in confined ambient, where electrochemical conditions are quite those usually established for on flat substrate. Nanostructures were grown bath containing Mo7O246– (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O) concentrations (50–100 g/L), constant cathodic...
