To report the safety and efficacy of descemetorhexis without grafting as a primary intervention in Fuchs dystrophy, use ROCK inhibitor, ripasudil salvage agent failing cases.Twelve eyes 11 patients underwent central not exceeding 4 mm. All had dystrophy-producing visual symptoms, requesting intervention. Exclusion criteria were peripheral endothelial cell count <1000 edema. Corneal clearance parameters recorded monthly until corneal was observed, then at intervals 6 months. Cases to clear by...

Large-vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke represents one-third of acute ischemic (AIS) in the United States but causes two-thirds poststroke dependence and >90% mortality. Prehospital LVO detection permits efficient emergency medical systems (EMS) transport to an endovascular thrombectomy (EVT)-capable center. Our primary objective was determine feasibility using a cranial accelerometry (CA) headset device for prehospital detection. secondary development algorithm capable distinguishing from other...

To investigate whether Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) genotype, specifically transcription factor 4 (TCF4) CTG triplet repeat "load" predicts time to clearance following Descemet's Stripping Only (DSO).This prospective, interventional trial was conducted on consecutive FECD patients undergoing DSO. Genetic analysis using patients' saliva performed assess the extent of expansion short tandem analysis, corroborated gel electrophoresis and Sanger sequencing. Polymerase chain...

The transition of Army Combat Medic Specialists (Military Occupational Specialty Code: 68W) from military to civilian emergency medical services (EMS) is challenging, and the pathway not clearly defined. Introduction Prehospital identification of large vessel occlusion (LVO) ischemic stroke using scoring tools based upon physical exam findings is highly user‐dependent and associated with poor specificity. Measurement the “headpulse” by cranial accelerometry has been previously shown to reliably identify LVO in a hospitalized group suspected patients, but utility this technology prehospital environment remains unclear. The EPISODE‐PS‐COVID study was designed evaluate use novel triaxial device...
