Engineered cementitious composites (ECCs) suffer from high shrinkage and low early strength due to large dosage of materials slow hydration fly ash. This study aims improve compressive properties reduce drying ECC using ceramic wastes hydrothermal curing. Experimental results have indicated that polishing powder (CPP) recycled sand (RCS) exert opposite effect on the ECC. Hydrothermal-cured enhances elasticity modulus reduces later as compared with under standard A CPP 35% a curing regime...

Magnesium potassium phosphate cement (MKPC), made of sintered magnesium oxide and phosphate, is a new material for construction structural repair. It possesses high early strength bond capacity, low drying shrinkage, excellent fire resistance compatibility with concrete. These characteristics render it an ideal strengthening reinforced concrete (RC) structures. This study developed MKPC-based textile cementitious composite (TRCC) to strengthen RC beams at soffit. Three-point flexural tests...

As a novel pavement wear layer material, the micromechanical mechanisms of High-toughness Ultra-thin Friction Course (HUFC) have not been fully elucidated. This paper presents new method for three-dimensional simulation high-toughness asphalt mixtures based on viscoelastic parameter calibration model. X-ray Computerized Tomography (CT) was employed to scan samples obtain detailed information internal structure (aggregate, fine aggregate matrix FAM and voids), model constructed real-scale...

Chloride-induced corrosion of reinforcement has endangered the safety reinforced concrete (RC) structures. It is, therefore, necessary to strengthen corroded RC members ensure structural safety. This study aims investigate effectiveness alkali-activated slag (AAS) ferrocement jackets in strengthening columns. AAS specimens with various layers stainless steel wire mesh (SSWM) were subjected direct tensile tests. Square columns suffered artificially accelerated and subsequently strengthened by...

This study investigated anchorage behavior of geopolymer-grouted rock bolts. Pull-out tests were conducted on bolts grouted by geopolymer mortar (GM), paste (GP), and cement (CM), respectively. The effect grout, type bolts, spacing depth performance was examined. Experimental results have shown that GM achieves better bond than GP CM under a constant water binder ratio 0.4. Deformed exhibit nominal strength 2.4 1.6 times higher the plain round ones, Bolt more 150 mm exerts little influence...

The Artificial ecological pyramid model is proposed to solve complex problems, which a layered evolutionary multi-agent system model. has three layers. lowest layer composed of "stimulation-response" agents called base agents. second combined that are combinations top advanced have reasoning capabilities. Agents in all layers must be up against the test environment. on can only improve their fitness evaluations by evolutional methods, and upper also "eating" lower We construct strategy based...
