Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is an important fruit crop for therapeutic and food applications. In June 2022, brown spots were observed on the surface of pomegranate cultivar named Guangyan in Mengzi (23°20'6''N,103°25'5''E), Yunnan, China. The early appeared as circular or irregular lesions, measuring 1~1.5 mm diameter. They light with a clear boundary between disease healthy tissues. Over time, these developed into polygonal lesions covering entire surface. Eventually, diseased fruits...
Abstract Autophagy controls insect development and can be targeted for pest control in agriculture. In the present study, starvation‐induced autophagy is investigated species Spodoptera frugiperda . Bioinformatics analysis a search of EST database (http://bioweb.ensam.inra.fr/spodobase) identifies putative ATG8 gene S. To generate biomarker autophagosome, DNA sequence encoding open reading frame this amplified cloned into pIEX‐4‐ mCherry‐EGFP‐SfATG8 recombinant vector. Sf9 cells are then...
