Actinidiaceae is a well-known economically important plant family in asterids. To elucidate the chloroplast (cp) genome evolution within this family, here we present complete genomes of three species from two sister genera (Clematoclethra and Actinidia) via skimming technique. Comparative analyses revealed that structure content were rather conservative cp spite different inheritance pattern, i.e.paternal Actinidia maternal Clematoclethra. The clpP gene was lacked all sequenced examined...

With more than 200 species of native Rubus, China is considered a center diversity for this genus. Due to paucity molecular markers, the phylogenetic relationships genus are poorly understood. In study, we sequenced and assembled plastomes 22 out 204 Chinese Rubus (including varieties) from three eight sections reported in China, i.e., Chamaebatus, Idaeobatus, Malachobatus. Plastomes were annotated comparatively analyzed with inclusion two published plastomes. The all 24 composed large...

Abstract With glossy, wax-coated leaves, Rubus leucanthus is one of the few heat-tolerant wild raspberry trees. To ascertain underlying mechanism heat tolerance, we generated a high-quality genome assembly with size 230.9 Mb and 24,918 protein-coding genes. Significantly expanded gene families were enriched in flavonoid biosynthesis pathway circadian rhythm-plant pathway, enabling survival subtropical areas by accumulating protective flavonoids modifying photoperiodic responses. In contrast,...

Photinia, Stranvaesia and Heteromeles are considered to be related genera belonging the tribe Maleae of Rosaceae. comprises five species distributed in eastern Asia while Photinia consists about 30 found Mexico. is a monotypic genus northwestern Mexico southwestern US. Distinctions between these three rely on morphological features leaves, flowers, fruits, but some character states that supposed diagnostic also occur Photinia. In order clarify taxonomic delimitations genera, sequences from...
