A thermal model, based on the Tsallis distribution and blast-wave is proposed to compute hadron double-differential spectra $d^{2}N/dp_{T}dy$ in $pp$ (also high energy $p\overline{p}$) collisions. It successfully describes available experimental data pion quarkonia ($\phi$, $J/\psi$, $\psi(2S)$, $\Upsilon$ family) production at energies from $\sqrt{s} = 5$ GeV LHC ones. Simple parametrizations for $\sqrt{s}$ dependence of model parameters are provided allowing predictions yields these...
Abstract We investigate combined effects of gravitational field and spatial topology on the fermionic condensate (FC) for a massive Dirac in locally anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime with part dimensions compactified to torus. For general phases periodicity conditions along compact topological Casimir contribution is explicitly extracted renormalization reduced one purely AdS spacetime. The FC an even periodic function magnetic flux enclosed by dimension period quantum. vanishes boundary dominates...
We present a study of the inclusive J/psi cross section at 2.76 TeV and 5.5 TeV. The energy dependence section, rapidity transverse momentum distributions are evaluated phenomenologically. Their knowledge is crucial as reference for interpretation A-A p-A results LHC. Our approach following: first, we estimate evolution pt-integrated mid-rapidity; then, evaluate dependence; finally, distribution trend. Whenever possible, both theory driven (based on pQCD predictions) functional form (data...
A dedicated front-end electronics has been developed for the trigger chambers of ALICE muon spectrometer under construction at future LHC CERN. This detector is based on RPCs (Resistive Plate Chambers) working in streamer mode. The number channels (about 21000) and fact that RPC signals have specific characteristics led to design an 8 channel ASIC using a new discrimination technique. principle described radiation hardness discussed. Special emphasis put production about 4000 ASICs.
We present the set of measurements carried out by NA50 experiment to study J/ψ production in proton- and ion-induced reactions. also make use results obtained previously under similar conditions experiments NA51, NA38 NA3. All these were performed fixed target at CERN SPS. Due accelerator constraints, momentum was 450, 400 200 GeV/c for incident proton beams (corresponding √s = 29.0, 27.4, 19.4 GeV respectively) whereas, ion beams, GeV/nucleon oxygen sulfur 158 Pb (√s 17.2 respectively). The...
The J/$ψ$ azimuthal distribution relative to the reaction plane has been measured by NA50 experiment in Pb-Pb collisions at 158 GeV/nucleon. Various physical mechanisms related charmonium dissociation medium created heavy ion collision are expected introduce an anisotropy of observed mesons SPS energies. Hence, measurement elliptic anisotropy, quantified Fourier coefficient v$_2$ plane, is important tool constrain theoretical models aimed explaining anomalous suppression collisions. We...
The NA50 Collaboration has measured heavy-quarkonium production in p-A collisions at 450 GeV incident energy (sqrt(s) = 29.1 GeV). We report here results on the of Upsilon states and high-mass Drell-Yan muon pairs (m > 6 cross-section midrapidity A-dependence yields are determined compared with other fixed-target experiments available theoretical estimates. Finally, we also address some issues concerning transverse momentum distributions dimuons.
Processes of purification molybdenite concentrates from floatation reagents and mixtures, as well the process decantation are investigated. As a result complex invetigations, an up-to-date production technology molybdenum disilicide is developed by silicothermal method concentrates, which includes disulfide mixed elements, compression powder mixture received pure MoS2 Si high-temperature synthesis briquiets in hydrogen environment.
The functional pairing of the uterus determines formation localized and generalized forms uterine activity, study which makes it possible to identify contractile predictors preterm birth. Normally, contractions first occur in II–III trimesters pregnancy their aim is ensure an optimal level blood flow transplacental exchange uteroplacental complex within framework “pump”. It value importance search those that accompany labor. Since are initiated predominantly subplacental area myometrium,...
The fission of lead projectiles has been investigated at the CERN SPS by NA50 experiment. For this study, a Cherenkov quartz detector was added to standard setup measure charge projectilelike fragments. data collected on different targets 40 and $158\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\text{GeV}∕c$ per nucleon are presented here. contributions arising from nuclear electromagnetic mechanism extracted measured cross sections; contribution is then compared Weizs\"acker-Williams predictions.
