Cu2O thin films have been grown on glass substrates at room temperature by reactive magnetron sputtering. As-deposited exhibit high electrical resistivity and low optical transmittance. To improve the film properties, post annealing treatments in air various temperatures performed. Low (<300 °C) avoids oxidation into CuO remain single-phased. In this range, enhances transmittance visible region due to decrease of defect scattering. Moreover, band gap is enlarged from 2.38 2.51 eV with...

In this study, the tuning of KOH electrolyte composition is proposed as a strategy to drastically limit capacitance fade vanadium nitride (VN) electrode. We demonstrate that use V 5+ (as VO 4 3− vanadates anions) containing enhances cycling stability VN thin film electrode: loss 59% observed for electrode tested in over 3000 consecutive cycles. After addition electrolyte, decreased 23%. Furthermore, presence species solution leads enhancement from 379 mF cm −2 ions free up 577 at 5 mV s −1...

Abstract Nowadays, almost all the cutting tools in metal machining are protected with a surface treatment. Nevertheless, this is not case wood where no protected, except by thermal treatments, and so they present previous wear because of use steel or carbide materials milling, sawing, routing, etc. During these processes, particularly exposed to abrasive shock wear. To enhance their resistance, one solution protect them hard coatings. The study deals development ternary systems (CrAlN CrSiN)...

In this paper, vanadium nitride (VN) thin films have been deposited on Al substrates by reactive magnetron sputtering. Thermochromic VO2 obtained air oxidation of VN samples performed at three temperatures (450, 525 and 550 °C) various durations (lower than 50 min). X-ray diffraction Raman spectrometry the oxidized indicate that V2O5 are only phases produced during process. Vanadium dioxide is first oxide formed. It coexists with in a long period 450 °C or suddenly disappears °C. Whatever...

(Hf,Nb,Ti,V,Zr)Nx coatings with nitrogen content between 0 and 49 at.% were deposited by sputter deposition, thoroughly characterised. Nitrogen-free found to have a bcc structure, low hardness (8 GPa), an electrical resistivity of 144 μΩcm. The nitride (43–49 N) had NaCl-type consistent multi-component solid solution phase. Photoelectron core level binding energies indicate that the electronic structure differs from binary nitrides, probably result charge transfer metal atoms. exhibited...

This work is dedicated to the elaboration and structural optical characterization of a LaCoO3 selective layer for solar thermal collectors. thermochromic material capable (similar VO2 that currently used this application) preventing overheating collector. Samples were prepared using two types sputtering reactors—a rotary confocal reactor an in-line semi-industrial reactor, allowing us produce samples with areas 1–2 cm2 21.0 × 29.7 cm2, respectively. The possess overall stoichiometry, La/Co...
