Facilitation of social attraction and bonding by the evolutionarily conserved neuropeptide oxytocin is well-established in female mammals. However, accumulating behavioral evidence suggests that may have evolved sex-specific functional roles domain human cognition. A critical question how differentially modulates neural processing information men women, leading to divergent responses. Here we show intranasal treatment produces sex- valence-dependent increases amygdala activation when women...
Abstract A range of new 2D materials have recently been reported, including topological insulators, transition-metal dichalcogenides, black phosphorus, MXenes, and metal-organic frameworks, which demonstrated high optical nonlinearity Pauli blocking for widespread use as saturable absorbers in pulsed lasers. are emerging a promising platform ultrashort-pulse fiber laser technology. This review presents catalog the various applications based on series materials. In addition, novel devices...
A black phosphorus (BP) functionalized optical fiber sensor based on a microfiber coil resonator (MCR) for Pb2+ ion detection in an aquatic environment is presented and experimentally demonstrated. The MCR-BP manufactured by winding tapered hollow rod composed of low-refractive-index polycarbonate (PC) resin with the BP deposited internal wall rod. Based propagation properties MCR, chemical interaction between ions alters refractive index ambient thus results detectable shift transmission...
A novel multi-wavelength mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber laser with tungsten disulfide (WS2) combined a microfiber knot is described. This hybrid structure facilitates strong light matter interaction between the saturated absorption of WS2 material and high optical non-linearity knot. It demonstrated experimentally that works stably in absence an external comb filter, generation stable picosecond pulses. In lasing regime, up to seven-wavelength pulses are obtained using polarization...
The use of tin disulfide (SnS2) as a candidate material for saturable absorption in nonlinear optical devices is investigated this article. A dual-wavelength soliton mode-locked fiber laser demonstrated using fabricated SnS2 thin film absorber within an erbium-doped cavity. generates two peaks centered at 1536.7 and 1562.6 nm, with pulse width 5.3 ps. experimental results indicate that the has required characteristics to realize good operation. Thus, we confirm great potential be used...
In this work, we present a tandem ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) utilizing highly efficient manipulator allowing to store, manipulate, and analyze ions under high electric field strengths controlled ion-neutral reactions at ambient conditions. The arrangement of drift regions an in single tube allows sequence selection precursor ions, followed by storage analysis, separation, detection the resulting product ions. article, journey exploring capabilities instrument study eight different...
Q-switched pulse laser generation is successfully demonstrated in both Erbium-doped fibre (EDFL) and Thulium-doped (TDFL) cavities by employing Nickel disulfide (NiS2) as a saturable absorber (SA). operation at 1.55 μm 2.0 obtained low pump power levels of 37 mW 48 mW, respectively. For the EDFL, stable passively output wavelength 1561.86 nm achieved, with minimum duration 237 ns repetition rate 243.9 kHz. TDFL, centre 1915.5 nm, 505 214.68 NiS2 used SA for over broadband first time.
Dissipative soliton generation is successfully demonstrated in an Erbium-doped mode-locked fibre laser using Tin Disulfide (SnS2) as a saturable absorber the near-zero dispersion regime. A stable dissipative pulse train operating at wavelength of 1560 nm obtained with 32 FWHM power. The 152 fs pulses were produced 0.48 nJ energy all-fibre cavity following compression single-mode fibre.
An aqueous polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/chitosan (CHT)/polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) blends (PVA/CHT/PHMB blends) has been developed as a potential low dose topical antibacterial formulation with enhanced antimicrobial effect. The preparation of PVA/CHT/PHMB was quite facilely, just dissolved PVA, CHT, PHMB in water order. There the aggregates 100 nm size around induced by phase separation and an two-phase system (ATPS) formed, non-ionic polymer PVA formed continuous cationic CHT dispersed...
The temperature-sensitive performance of a microfiber coil resonator (MCR) is thoroughly investigated. MCR fabricated by wrapping on PMMA rod coated with UV-curable low refractive index epoxy. temperature sensitivity measured investigating the correlation between shift resonant wavelength and surrounding temperature. It determined that range parameters MCRs, including gap two adjacent rings, diameter supporting rod, number microfiber, have great influence MCRs. By optimizing fabrication such...
Collision induced dissociation (CID) is a widely used technique in mass spectrometry to better understand the structural composition of ions and improve identification compounds beyond analysis m/z. By increasing kinetic energy an electric field, collisions with neutral molecules may result bond breakage, dissociation, or fragmentation molecular ion into smaller fragments if necessary onset exceeded. In this work for first time, we demonstrate CID field asymmetric time flight mobility...
A novel UWB-MIMO antenna with high isolation is presented. The proposed consists of two identical UWB elements. Each element evolved from the off-center-fed patch and its operating frequency band covers ultra-wideband. modified ground, as part radiator, can improve by propagating through restraining surface. In addition, ground stub between elements, changes surface current distribution, makes truncated drawn, obviously reduces coupling ports, so that always has good in UWB. miniaturized...
The corona onset voltage (COV) for bare overhead bundle conductors transmission lines has been investigated using numerical calculations and the gas discharge theory. First, an accurate method, charge simulation was used to calculate electric field distribution in vicinity of sub-conductors bundles. Then values a criterion from theory were evaluate negative coronas on sub-conductors. COVs obtained are good agreement with literature data laboratory models full-scale test lines. Some results...
