Tissue spheroids have been proposed as building blocks in 3D biofabrication. Conventional magnetic force-driven 2D patterning of tissue requires prior cell labeling by nanoparticles, meanwhile a label-free approach for levitational assembly has introduced. Here we present first time report on rapid construct using scaffold-free, nozzle-free and levitation spheroids. Chondrospheres standard size, shape capable to fusion biofabricated from primary sheep chondrocytes non-adhesive technology....
Abstract Many physical and mechanical properties of materials are connected with their microstructure. Recently, technologies to control the microstructure have been well developed in order more accurately determine necessary properties. Therefore, hardness values samples from technically pure copper different average grain sizes determined. The effect boundaries on a sample homogeneous structure is studied. grains structural components steel C45 were also investigated. number indentation...
The lithium and tin capillary-porous systems (CPSs) were tested with steady-state plasma in the PLM device which is divertor simulator parameters relevant to SOL of tokamaks. CPS consists tin/lithium tile fixed between two molybdenum meshs constructed module faced plasma. Steady-state load 0.1 – 1 MW/m2 on during more than 200 min was achieved experiments a modeling far scrapeoff- layer zone large tokamak. heating controlled remotely including biasing technique allows regulate evaporated...
Estimation of probability defect detection (POD) is one the most important problems in acoustic emission (AE) testing. It caused by influence material microstructure parameters on diagnostic data, variability noises, ambiguous assessment materials emissivity, and other factors, which hamper modeling AE as well a priori determination necessary for calculating POD. In this study, we propose an empirical approach based generalization experimental data acquired under mechanical testing samples...
An improved method for calculating the minimum permissible electron beam welding (EBW) speed with continuous penetration is described. Calculations are carried out to construct nomograms determining in relation thickness of welded joint and width vapour-gas channel 40Kh13 steel, 5V titanium alloy D16 aluminium alloy. To confirm efficiency proposed method, results experiments EBW at different speeds presented.
Mock-ups of the ITER divertor plate are tested with combination steady-state plasma and e-beam loads: (1) thermocyclic tests powerful electron beam load up to 49 MW/m2 in facility; then (2) subsequent testing PLM device loads 0.5–1 more. Such simulate variable on plates ITER. Tungsten samples irradiated helium experiments discharge duration 200 min. The ITER-grade tungsten VM-P led erosion, cracking, nanostructured "fuzz" structure growth material surface. Post-mortem scanning microscopy...
This paper presents a study of acoustic emission (AE) during the deformation dissimilar welded joints austenitic steel to pearlitic steel. One specific problems in these is presence decarburized and carbide diffusion interlayers, which intensively increase width long-term high-temperature operation. The wide interlayers negatively affects mechanical properties joints. Moreover, defects are difficult diagnose containing interlayers: due high structural heterogeneity, create noises that can...
In this study, we investigated defect detection in dissimilar welded joints by the acoustic emission (AE) method. The study objects were carbide and decarburized interlayers, which are formed at fusion boundary between austenitic pearlitic steels. Diffusion as a structural defect, usually have microscopic dimensions cannot be detected using conventional non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. regard, AE method is promising approach to diagnose metal with complex structure detect defects....
Fatigue crack in rails and cyclic-loaded train parts is a contributory factor multiple railroad accidents. We address the problem of detection measurement at early stages, when total failure has not yet occurred. propose to combine acoustic emission (AE) testing for prediction growth with digital image correlation (DIC) its accurate quantitative characterization. In this study, we imitated fatigue appearance samples railway rail two by cyclic loading, applied these techniques inspection....
The existing thin coatings and films hardness evaluation methods based on indentation with pyramidal indenter various scale levels are expounded. impact of factor values is performed. experimental verification several regarding the substrate value "coating - substrate" composite made.
We address non-contact detection of defects in the railway rails under their dynamic loading and propose to combine digital image correlation (DIC) finite element modeling (FEM). show that accurate model defect-free rail operating at same conditions as inspected one provides a reliable reference for experimental data. In this study, we tested samples with artificial fatigue cyclic loading, calculated displacement stress distributions different locations cracks via DIC validated obtained...
Tensile testing of steel specimens under 'soft' and 'hard' loading conditions with simultaneous measurement the self-magnetic field using metal magnetic memory (MMM) method is performed. By comparing obtained tensile diagrams magnetograms variation, relationship between mechanical characteristics at different stages determined. It found that variation closely correspond to true diagrams. The ratios characteristics, during specimens, allow for determination limiting state time crack formation...
Abstract The paper is devoted to identifying features of structural non-homogeneities formation in dissimilar welded joints carbon steel 20 corrosion-resistant austenitic 12Kh18N10T steel, obtained by tungsten inert gas welding (TIG), as well studying their influence on the mechanical characteristics under static and cyclic loading. Differences a diffusion carbide interlayer weld metal alloyed with nickel manganese are established. When austenite nickel, bulk occurs, while boundary becomes...
The paper investigates the effect of combined processing on fatigue strength. We developed a plant for processing, processed 40X steel samples with various modes. Furthermore, we experimentally studied strength by metal magnetic memory method, and found relationship between stress concentration zones modes under heredity factor effect. Finally, gave recommendations use hardening parts hydropower plants.
This article is devoted to materials testing by the acoustic emission (AE) method, which analysis of models and diagnostic parameters assess probability detection a defect in steel structures. The paper proposes evaluate emissivity material quantitatively number dynamics accumulation impulses. Experimental studies were carried out on pearlitic structural steels, including loading samples with fatigue cracks. It was established that AE impulses emitted during an object crack random variable...
Development of the nanomaterial science heightened interest in studying deformation mechanism accompanied by grain boundary sliding (GBS). However, experimental study GBS processes micro- and nanovolumes metallic materials faces difficulties attributed to high localization strains requires use modern methods tools high-resolution electron microscopy. Therefore, available literature data refer mainly theoretical model studies this area. Treatment metal alloys with concentrated energy flows,...
Abstract The influence of the scale effect on strength mechanically inhomogeneous welded structures with a soft zone was studied. investigated samples were made two 12Kh18N10T austenitic steel plates and low-carbon ferritic insert connected between them by dissimilar joints performed electron beam welding. Tensile as function relative thickness for tensile specimens 1.2 to 10 mm plotted. It shown that in range from 0.2 0.5, did not manifest during tension. This can be explained low plastic...
