A Pseudomonas fluorescens strain ZY2, isolated from swine wastewater, was used to investigate the synergistic effects of five heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Zn, Cr(VI) and Hg) on bacterial resistance antibiotics. Results indicate that combined antibiotic type, metal type concentration were significant (p < 0.01). Cross-resistance Hg antibiotics most noticeable. Moreover, cefradine or amoxicillin, Cr amoxicillin for low concentrations, turned antagonistic with increasing while resistances Cu...
The electricity output from microbial fuel cell (MFC) with a microalgae assisted cathode is usually higher than that an air cathode. of photosynthetic MFC was positively correlated the dissolved oxygen (DO) level in biocathode. However, DO highly affected by photosynthesis microalgae, leading to low stability easily varies change growth. In this study, improve MFC, partially submerged carbon cloth electrode first investigated use both and air, synthetic piggery wastewater used as anolyte...
In this study, the interaction between extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) and tetracycline during sorption onto anaerobic ammonium-oxidising (anammox) sludge was investigated. The results showed that EPS significantly enhanced adsorption efficiency of by sludge, data were better fitted with pseudo-second-order kinetics model. Further, concentration proteins in decreased from 12.31 ± 0.42 to 6.82 0.46 mg/gVSS for various dosages (0–20 mg/L), whereas polysaccharides did not change....
This study explores the potential for synchronous extraction of Cu, Cr, Ni and Zn during sewage sludge bioleaching processes, using three types bacterial cultures: a pure culture Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans (A. ferrooxidans); thiooxidans thiooxidans); mixed A. thiooxidans. Variable operating parameters included initial pH, solids concentration, sulfur concentration ferrous iron with optimization via Box-Behnken design response surface methodology. Results indicate that thiooxidans, was...
Abstract Europium ion (Eu 2+ )‐doped phosphors exhibit adjustable photoluminescence due to the sensitivity of their luminescence local environment. It is great significance adjust Eu by changing environment in host. In this work, we investigated effect strontium/barium (Sr:Ba) ratio on structure and properties Sr 2− x Ba MgAl 22 O 36 :Eu phosphors. Our investigation indicates that with decrease Sr:Ba ratio, matrix lattice gradually expands peak wavelength for presents an obvious blue shift....
