The normal spectral emissivities at 807 and 940 nm, heat capacities constant pressure thermal conductivities of Pd Ti melts were measured using an electromagnetic levitation technique in a static magnetic field. field suppresses the surface oscillation, translational motion, convection flow on electromagnetically levitated samples. convections suppressed sufficiently for conductivity measurement by showed no temperature dependence within experimental region. melt was region, other hand,...
Abstract The available experimental data for the density, thermal conductivity, and viscosity of liquid titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten have been critically examined with intention establishing reference correlations. All categorized into primary secondary according to quality measurement, technique employed, presentation data, as specified by a series criteria. In case new correlations are proposed tungsten, characterized an expanded...
We investigated the effect of diesel exhaust (DE) on pregnancy and fetal development in mice at day 14 postcoitum (pc) with a special focus placenta. The number absorbed fetuses increased groups exposed to DE, congestion was observed histological sections placentas. During placental absorption expression CYP1A1 mRNA decreased undetectable levels, whereas TNF alpha approximately twofold over that control. Levels normal placentas from DE-exposed were unchanged. levels inflammatory cytokines...
Disordered Pd–Fe alloys show a positive excess-volume effect, contrary to the predictions of Iida–Guthrie model. The effect becomes larger at composition approximately Pd0.5Fe0.5. origin was investigated by using first-principles calculations study electronic structures in ordered and disordered states with two different compositions, i.e., Pd0.53Fe0.47 Pd0.75Fe0.25. calculated partial density for state indicates weakening Pd metallic bonds because fully occupied 4d majority-spin enhanced...
Abstract The temperature dependence of density, normal spectral emissivity, heat capacity at constant pressure, and thermal conductivity the V melt were measured with high accuracy using electromagnetic levitation in a static magnetic field. Surface vibration, translational motion, convection electromagnetically levitated droplet sample suppressed by In measurement conductivity, V-melt was sufficiently application field 7 T or higher. this study, emissivity are compared those evaluated...
The normal spectral emissivity, molar heat capacity at constant pressure, and thermal conductivity of Ni-Ti melts were measured during electromagnetic levitation under a static magnetic field. emissivity the 3 T temperature range for measurements was 1240–1839 K, ranged 1223–1851 K. melts, except Ni mole fractions (xNi) 0 0.25, showed without dependence within experimental range. Furthermore, larger than ideal solution over whole compositions. discussed based on Drude model. thermodynamic...
The densities of liquid binary Pt–X (X: Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) alloys were measured over a wide temperature range including the supercooled region, using electromagnetic levitation under static magnetic field. field effectively suppressed translational motion surface oscillation levitated sample droplets, enabling high-accuracy density measurement in non-contact manner. excess molar volumes (VE) evaluated from measurements, we demonstrated that systems have positive VE with negative Gibbs energy...
Ni–Al alloys are good candidates for the fabrication high-efficiency gas turbine blades. The system is also important as a solution AlN crystal growth. To accurately model casting process blade and design growth techniques AlN, thermophysical properties of liquid alloy required. In this study, normal spectral emissivity was measured using electromagnetic levitation technique under static magnetic field. Both melting temperature Cu eutectic Ni–C were used fixed points spectrometer calibration...
Raman spectra of solutions manganese(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) perchlorate with varying molality were measured in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) their mixtures by titration spectroscopy at 298 K. The in-plane OC–N bending vibration 660 cm−1 DMF the stretching N–CH3 740 DMA show an appreciable shift to a higher frequency upon coordination solvent molecules metal ion. These deconvoluted bound bands (νbound) ion extracted from free band (νfree). number...
Recently, concerns over voltage instability phenomena have been increasing, because significant drops are regarded crucial in stable operations. Thus, effective control schemes using stability indices brought to attention a considerable number of studies. The conventional mainly based on evaluating margins critical point. operator usually determines proper range power systems. In this paper we propose index VMPI (voltage margin proximity index) considering limits, especially lower limits....
Abstract Effects of Mo back contact thickness on the photovoltaic properties CIGS solar cells were investigated. When was thin, an increase in series resistance and leakage current adversely affected FF (fill factor) fabricated using layers. On other hand, when layer as thick 0.8 μm, sodium out‐diffusion from SLG decreased. The resulting reduced concentration films grown top layers resulted open circuit voltage ( V OC ). As a consequence tradeoff between decreased diffusion for thicker thin...
We have developed the system PROSPECT for measuring thermophysical properties at high temperature. Precise measurements provide accurate excess functions, which represent non-ideality of solutions. use functions to discuss solution models on basis electronic structure and thermodynamics. Pd-Fe systems show positive volume VE with negative Gibbs energy GE. The phase diagrams these common features those other Pd-X Pt-X (where X is Fe, Ni, Co, or Cu), means they all order-disorder transitions....
