In this study, the effects of salt stress on pigment and total soluble protein contents were investigated in different varieties tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.). The seedlings of L. esculentum viz. Hazera, Dalli Tokat Argy treated with NaCl at 25, 50, 100, 125, 150 200 mM concentrations for 96 24 h interval. Pigment all cultivars significantly decreased by depending time intervals concentrations. Decreasing more evident in Hazera under short exposure. content plants less affected...

The aim of the study was to evaluate whether use chemotherapy in combination with naringin, a dietary plant polyphenolic flavonoid, could enhance therapeutic efficacy paclitaxel treatment human prostate cancer (PCa) cells. DU145, PC3, and LNCaP cells were treated various concentrations paclitaxel, their combinations. Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT), image-based cytometer, quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR), Western blot, transwell assay used cell viability,...

The effects of cadmium (Cd) and copper (Cu) stress on antioxidant enzyme activities, pigment (total chlorophyll carotenoid), malondialdehyde (MDA) total soluble protein contents were determined in Lemna gibba L., minor L. Spirodela polyrhiza (L.) Schleid under laboratory conditions. Cd Cu separately applied at concentrations 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5 1.5 mg L-1 for 96 hours. results this study showed that affected the physiological status gibba, S. polyrhiza. Decreased increased evident exposure....

AbstractAbstractThe effects of anthropogenic pollution on metal accumulation and some physiological parameters were investigated in plant leaves the Adana, located Mediterranean region Turkey. Washingtonia filifera L., Eucalyptus camaldulensis Phoenix dactylifera Platanus orientalis Citrus aurantium Nerium oleander L. Schinus molle plants collected from four different locations having levels Adana. Concentrations metals (Al, B, Ba, Fe, Pb, Sr Zn), pigment (chloropyhll carotenoid), lipid...

We investigated the effects of manganese (Mn) and nickel (Ni) stress on pigment (total chlorophyll carotenoid), total soluble protein content antioxidant enzyme [superoxide dismutase (SOD) guaiacol peroxidase (POD) catalase (CAT)] activities in Lemna gibba under laboratory conditions. L. was treated with exposures Mn Ni separately at 0.25, 1, 4 16 mg/L concentrations for 72 hours 24 h intervals. The results present study showed that physiological status affected by exposure. accumulations...

Combination therapies of cisplatin with 5-FU (PF) are an effective solution and have been widely used for the treatment various categories cancer including anal, gastrointestinal, oral cancer, as well head neck tumors. The effects combined PF on vital intracellular signalling pathways in nontargeted cells remain unclear. aim this study is to explain possible mechanisms by which results retinal toxicity investigate important ARPE 19 pigmented epithelial cells. We analysed cellular molecular...
