Methoxy group enriched eight coumarin-chalcone hybrid derivatives were synthesized. Antimicrobial/ antiproliferative activities tested against human pathogenic microorganisms and four cancer cell lines (AGS, HepG2, MCF-7 PC-3), respectively. Antimicrobial results showed that most of the compounds almost more active than used standard antibiotics. Cytotoxicity 2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl thiophene containing structures have promising effects AGS gastric with ∼5 μg/ml IC50 values. At same time,...
The association between dysbiotic microbiota biofilm and colon cancer has recently begun to attract attention. In the study, apitherapeutic effects of bee products (honey, venom, royal jelly, pollen, perga propolis) obtained from endemic Yığılca ecotype Apis mellifera anatoliaca were investigated. Antibiofilm activity performed by microplate assay using crystal violet staining measure adherent biomass Escherichia coli capable forming biofilms. Bee venom showed highest inhibition effect...

(Lamiaceae) were investigated for their antimicrobial activities. Methods: activity leaf plant was tested against Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633, cereus 7064, Staphylococcus aureus 6538P, Escherichia coli 10538, Proteus vulgaris 6899, Salmonella typhimurium CCM 5445 Pseudomonas aeruginosa 27853, as well Candida albicans 10239, Debaryomyces hansenii DSM 70238, Kluyveromyces fragilis 8608 Rhodotorula...
Purpose: To investigate the antifungal activities.of individual as well combined hydroalcohol leaf and root extracts of endemic Hypericum havvae A. Guner (Hyperiaceae). Methods: Each dry powdered plant material (20 g) was soaked in 150 ml aqueous ethanol (50: 50 %v/v) until complete saturation material. After were filtered evaporated, activity tested against medical yeast, Candida (C. albicans ATCC 10231, C. tropicalis 13808, guilliermondii 6260) Cryptococcus neoformans 90112 laurentii 34142)...
In this study, the antimicrobial, antioxidant and antitumor activity of ethanol extracts obtained from Phlomis russeliana (Sims.) Lag. ex Benth. (Lamiaceae) were evaluated. Disc diffusion microdilution methods used to test for antimicrobial against seven bacteria strains (Bacillus cereusATCC 7064, Bacillus subtilisATCC 6633, Staphylococcus aureusATCC 6538P, Escherichia coliATCC 10538, Proteus vulgarisATCC 6899, Salmonella typhimuriumCCM 5445 Pseudomonas aeruginosaATCC 27853) four yeast...
Bacteria act through a communication mechanism called quorum sensing (QS) to control pathogenicity. Biofilm formation is process supported by the QS and known part in antibiotic resistance. In this study, antimicrobial, anti-QS antibiofilm capacities of ethanol extracts obtained from Lamium galeobdolon (L.) L. purpureum plants were determined. The antimicrobial activity plant was evaluated well diffusion assay against various hospital isolates. have effects all bacteria yeasts. 27.5 ± 0.71...
Abstract Thio-Schiff bases are becoming increasingly widespread in various branches such as the preparation of certain medicines, cosmetic products, and polymer production. In particular, presence antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antitumor antimalarial properties Schiff containing sulfur structure has made these compounds attractive different disciplines. this study, derivatives dimeric disulfide-Schiff have been synthesized. The antibacterial antifungal activities synthesized were...
Nanopartiküllerin sentezi, yeni teknolojilerin geliştirilmesiyle birlikte ilgili potansiyel uygulamalar için bir araştırma alanıdır; özellikle, çevre dostu nanomalzemeler, nanobilim içinde büyüyen alan haline gelmiştir. Son zamanlarda, bitki özleri ve arı ürünleri kullanılarak metal oksit nanopartiküllerin nanobiyoteknoloji alanında, geleneksel fizikokimyasal yaklaşımlara göre sayısız avantajlarla ilgi çekici konu olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada, çinko (ZnO NP’in) sentezi için, kestane...
The current study aimed to evaluate Lamium purpureum L. in terms of its chemical composition and the potential essential oil for anticancer activity. profiling analysis was carried out via GC-MS. For this purpose, ethanol extract subjected GC-MS determine compounds. To obtain oil, steam distillation whole plant (aerial, leaf, stem) a Clevenger apparatus. activitiy determined MTT assay. We observed that maximum cell death 14% at 50 μg/mL concentration. As result analysis, palmitic acid,...
Benzothiazole compounds are known as an important bicyclic ring system with multiple applications. These have a wide range of biological activities, including anticancer, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral activities. In this study, benzothiazole were synthesized their various activities examined. The benzothiazoles evaluated for antimicrobial properties against bacterial fungal strains. compound 6e is most active ligand in the series bacteria fungi compared to standard...
ÖZSon on yılda Corynebacteria kaynaklı farklı klinik enfeksiyonların sayısında artış bildirilmiştir.Bu çalışma, kültürde üreme şekline göre (saf, başka bir patojen bakteriyle birlikte ve polimikrobiyal üreme) üç gruba ayrılan korinebakterilerin antibiyotik direnç oranları ile biyofilm oluşturma kapasitelerini değerlendirmek ''anti-quorum-sensing [çoğunluk algısı (QS)]" aktivitelerini araştırmak amacıyla planlanmıştır.Düzce Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Başakşehir Çam Sakura Şehir...
