Methoxy group enriched eight coumarin-chalcone hybrid derivatives were synthesized. Antimicrobial/ antiproliferative activities tested against human pathogenic microorganisms and four cancer cell lines (AGS, HepG2, MCF-7 PC-3), respectively. Antimicrobial results showed that most of the compounds almost more active than used standard antibiotics. Cytotoxicity 2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl thiophene containing structures have promising effects AGS gastric with ∼5 μg/ml IC50 values. At same time,...

The proteasome inhibitor bortezomib is a promising novel agent in bladder cancer therapy; however, inducible cytoprotective mechanisms may limit its potential efficacy. To date, the cellular and molecular effects of inhibitors on cells have been poorly characterized. Despite consistent rate initial responses, cisplatin treatment typically results development chemoresistance, leading to therapeutic failure. Therefore, present study aimed characterize underlying anti-proliferative combination...

Cisplatin-based chemotherapy is the standard regimen for bladder cancer patients, but its effectiveness limited by high toxicity and development of drug resistance. It has been reported in many studies that Cucurbitacin B anti-carcinogenic effects stimulating apoptosis autophagy. Here we explored potential role cucurbitacin on MB49 syngeneic mouse tumor model. Single combined doses cisplatin were applied to cell line viability was determined Water‐Soluble Tetrazolium Salt‐1 (WST) method....

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types urological cancers.Despite implementation effective radiotherapy and chemotherapy methods, prostate cells can still show resistance to treatment. In recent years, a combination proteasome histone deacetylase inhibitors has been used treat various malignancies. In this study, we examined cytotoxic apoptotic effects inhibitor bortezomib (Velcade/PS-341) trichostatin A (TSA), either alone or in combination, on human LNCaP PC3 cell lines.We...

Development of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer is a result the lack an apoptotic response by tumor cells and loss ability to stick adjacent through epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Although there are several strongly recommended biomarkers for determining prognosis cancer, only few them may help decide selection optimal treatment option. The mode sequencing in will be based on individual characteristics patient. In this study, we aimed explain correlation between expression...

Objective: Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men and second leading cause male deaths after lung cancer. Activation apoptosis an important process to overcome prostate In this study, we investigated synergistic anti-proliferative apoptotic effects metformin dichloroacetate (DCA) human cell line PC-3.

Experimental animals have long been used for research and educational purposes. However, in recent years, ethical debates regarding the rights of to life also become important. It is advocated that animal experiments can be carried out scientific goals contribute human welfare term cases where there are no alternative methods.
