SARS-CoV-2 is associated with the activation of innate immunity, an observed increase in neutrophils, mononuclear phagocytes, and natural killer cells, as well a decrease T cells. Interferon plays important roles restricting viruses crucial because it participates both adaptive immunity. Gamma interferon (IFN-γ) cytokine that fundamental role maintaining homeostasis body, vitro vivo. An immunological study was conducted to measure concentrations IFN-γ severe SARS-CoV-2-positive patients....

A new Estimation of Distribution Algorithm is presented. The proposed algorithm, called D-vine EDA, uses a graphical model which based on pair copula decomposition. By means functions it possible to the dependence structure in joint distribution with marginals different type. Thus, this paper introduces EDA and performs experiments statistical tests assess best algorithm. set shows potential

In this paper, a new Estimation of Distribution Algorithm (EDA) is presented. The proposed algorithm employs dependency tree as graphical model and bivariate copula functions for modeling relationships between pairwise variables. By selecting it possible to build very flexible joint distribution probabilistic model. experimental results show that the has better performance than EDAs based on Gaussian assumptions.

A novel stochastic model is proposed to characterize the adsorption kinetics of pollutants including dyes (direct red 80 and direct blue 1), fluoride ions, cadmium ions removed by calcium pectinate (Pec-Ca), aluminum xanthanate (Xant-Al), reed leaves, respectively. The based on a transformation over time following Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, which explicitly includes uncertainty involved in process. versions pseudo-first-order (PFO), pseudo-second-order (PSO), pseudo-[Formula: see...

To determine the incidence and severity of Retinopathy Prematurity (ROP) in Murcia region Spain. This was a retrospective study all infants born preterm during 2004, who were screened for ROP. Our screening criteria were: Infants with gestational age <or= 32 weeks (GA) or birth weight 1500 g (BW). We evaluated sex, GA, BW, parity ophthalmologic evaluation. then performed descriptive statistical analysis. The sample involved 115 an average GA 29.67 BW 1325 g. The ROP severe 32.1% 15.6%...

Abstract Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is a composite material with randomly distributed fibers, which improve the concrete's post‐cracking residual strength and toughness. Usually, micromechanical performance of single fibers studied under pullout tests, analyzing its load–slip relationships, translate bond behavior between fiber–concrete interface. In this research, three different test typologies, summing up 110 trials, were performed to analyze influence distinct parameters on...

Abstract. Land subsidence due to ground water withdrawal is a problem in many places around the world (Poland, 1984). This causes differential settlements that affect masonry structures, because these structural materials do not exhibit an adequate performance beyond certain level of angular distortion. work presents experimental and numerical results about study regarding full-scale thin-walled cold-formed steel building affected by land subsidence. The stage consisted construction...
