Embedding nonlinear media in the slit region of metallic nano-optic lens is proposed as a new method active modulating output beam. Two important phenomena, beam deflection and focusing, have been studied detail. A developed Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) has performed to account for response. The simulated results show that angle focus length can be controlled easily by intensity incident light structures. physical principle phenomena explained Surface Plasmons (SPs) excitation...

We measure second-harmonic generation from arrays of sub-wavelength apertures in transmission using fundamental input at 800 nm. Lattice arrangements include disordered, Penrose (quasi-periodic or aperiodic), and square (periodic). Strong angular dependence SHG is observed, with maxima located positions that roughly correspond to incidence angles extraordinary optical (EOT) for the fundamental. In addition, even normal sample, strong secondary are observed off-normal scattering higher degree...

Aluminum and magnesium have a strong plasmonic response in the ultraviolet part of spectrum. Due to differences their dielectric responses, however, there are qualitative fluorescence enhancement factors for Al Mg nanoapertures. In order make our results applicable experimental studies, we further investigate these nanoapertures using UV emitters that excite near 270 nm emit 340 with both high low quantum yields (QY). Our suggest may perform better molecules QY, while QY. We consider effects...

A developed two-dimensional Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method has been performed to investigate the optical bistability in a subwavelength metallic grating coated by nonlinear material. Different loops have shown depend on parameters of structure. The influences two key parameters, thickness material and slit width grating, studied detail. effect structure is explained Surface Plasmons (SPs) mode resonant waveguide theory.

In the category of drugs approved by U.S. FDA, pyrrolidine is most frequently used core five-membered nonaromatic heterocycles containing nitrogen. Herein, a Rh(II)/Pd(0) dual-catalyzed carbenoid N-H insertion/allylation cascade reaction has been developed. This protocol provide an efficient approach for construction diverse highly functionalized and polysubstituted pyrrolidines in high yields (up to 91%) with excellent chemoselectivities diastereoselectivities (>20:1) under mild conditions.
