Solution processed V2O5 films prepared via a sol-gel technique are used to replace PEDOT:PSS as hole extraction interlayers in polymer:fullerene solar cells. A high work function of 5.6 eV is found for the layers without any post-processing (annealing or plasma treatment). power conversion efficiency (PCE) 3%, comparable reference devices using verified. Concomitantly, substantial improvement device stability demonstrated.

Abstract The synthesis and phase behaviour of azo dye containing liquid crystalline side group copolymers are described. These Copolymers show the same electro‐optical effects as low molar mass guest‐host systems. Their macroscopic oriented nematic structure can be frozen in below glass transition temperature resulting a polymer film with dichroic properties. (phase behaviour, surface electric field orientation) improved via mixtures crystals.

Functional supramolecular systems like carbonyl-bridged triarylamine (CBT) trisamides are known for their long-range energy transport at room temperature. Understanding the complex self-assembly processes of this system allows control over generated structures using controlled polymerization. Here, we present two novel CBT with (S)- or (R)-chiral side chains which show a two-pathway behavior in solution. Depending on thermal profile during process, different stable states obtained under...
