This study aims to evaluate the concentrations and potential risks associated with seven volatile N-nitrosamines (NAs), a category of disinfection by-products, present in tap water, while considering realistic human exposure. Tap water samples were collected across four seasons from three central regions (Gangwon State, Gyeonggi-do, Seoul Metropolitan City) South Korea analyzed for NAs using high-performance liquid chromatography fluorescence detection, following...

This study aimed to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of N-nitrosamines (NAs) in water samples collected from Soyang Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) five tap sampling locations Chuncheon, Gangwon State, Republic Korea, located 0.9 6.2 km away DWTP. The treated DWTP was monitored for 24 h. NAs were quantitatively measured using high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) after solid-phase extraction (SPE) Carboxen 572, denitrosation,...

Abstract The widespread use of sulfonamides can result in the residue foods animal origin that are major concerns consumers and regulatory bodies due to their adverse reaction such as development antibiotic resistance. A rapid efficient multi-residue analytical method was developed screen confirm 31 livestock samples a single run, using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography combined with comprehensive mass spectrometric approaches. In this study, novel sample preparation procedure...

Flunixin is a veterinary nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent whose residues have been investigated in their original form within tissues such as muscle and liver. However, flunixin remains milk metabolite, 5-hydroxy has used the primary marker for its surveillance. This study aimed to develop quantitative method detecting strengthen monitoring system by applying other livestock fishery products. Two different methods were compared, target compounds extracted from using an organic solvent,...

Volatile N-Nitrosamines (NAs), including N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), an emerging contaminant in drinking water, have been reported to induce cancer animal studies. This study aims investigate the regional and seasonal distributions of concentrations NDMA, one most commonly found NAs with high carcinogenicity, municipal tap water Korea. NDMA samples was quantitatively determined using high-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) as a...

This study aims to assess the contamination of water and fish with nine metals (Fe, Al, Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ni, As, Cr) emitted by four coal-fired power plants in Chungcheongnam-do, Korea. Samples were collected at sites near each plant during summer fall. Control samples also for comparison samples. The concentrations ranged from 0.01 4,654 μg/L water. Non-carcinogenic carcinogenic risks are associated human exposure Pb As. Managing presence environment is crucial preserving aquatic ecosystem.

In November 2021, a bridge was constructed over Yeongrang Lake by placing large cement blocks on the lakebed, leading to ecological consequences. Thus, this study assessed distribution of metals evaluate risk in aquatic environment lake. Ten were monitored water, sediment, and fish samples across four seasons. The analyzed using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) after treatment with nitric acid. During sampling period, water followed order Fe > Cu Al Zn Mn...
