Summary The process of extracting the astaxanthin oleoresin from pretreated Phaffia rhodozyma cells was optimised using a Box‐Behnken response surface design. Microwaving at 105 W for 1 min followed by ethyl acetate extraction best pretreatment, and optimal conditions were 65 °C 24 solvent–solid ratio 19:1. order ability to disperse propylene glycol> Tween 80 > 20 α‐cyclodextrin, β‐cyclodextrin. It determined that degradation colour water‐dispersible first‐order kinetics model....

The long-term (60 days) effect of microfluidization on the properties -carotene emulsions in a matrix of biopolymers (maltodextrin and gum arabic) for spray drying was evaluated. Microfluidization showed significant effect (p ≤ 0.05) reduction Emulsion Droplet Size (EDS) (262-721 nm). Emulsions with higher contents arabic produce smallest EDS (383-721 polydispersity index were directly related while stability and lightness inversely to EDS. majority changes observed during first 10 days,...

The resistance of polymeric capsules in sheep ruminal fluid was evaluated for possible application as a vehicle bioactive agents to be released the stage post-ruminal. Capsules were made by ionic gelation, using sodium alginate wall material combination with biopolymers and chlorophyll agent. Chlorophyll release digestibility biomaterials vitro conditions sheep-ruminal situ fistula. highest rumen (46.60 ± 3% 46.30 situ) lower alginate-guar gum formulation deposit-type capsules. It evidenced...
