Chronic heart failure (CHF) involves interactions between the cardiovascular, neuroendocrine and immune systems. This study investigated seropositivity rate for anti-Toxoplasma IgG IgM antibodies by ELISA in patients with CHF. Ninety-seven CHF 50 healthy volunteers were selected this investigation. A 67-year-old male continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) patient presented with abdominal pain and pruritus. Strongyloides stercoralis larvae were seen on dialysate sediment stool microscopic examination. Albendazole was given improved the symptoms in 4 days.
