Surface magnetoplasmons (SMPs) in a basic physical model for the terahertz regime, which consists of semi-infinite magnetized semiconductor with dielectric cladding terminated by metal slab, are theoretically investigated. The dispersion properties such SMPs analyzed and examined detail. It is shown that may follow three different kinds diagrams, depending on applied dc magnetic field intensity. Complete one-way propagation operates within band gap available SMPs, bandwidth reaches maximum...

This paper presents a proposal of taking the left-handed material as structural defects one-dimensional photonic crystals and uses transfer matrix method to analyze band-gap that structure. The simulation result shows structure investigated can be considered narrow pass band optical filter. By tuning refractive index material, ideal transmission rate in is higher 99.99%, while lower than 0.01%. In addition, we show bandwidth increased by reducing cycle number crystals.

Magneto-optical and regular photonic crystals with triangular lattice are designed to construct one-way waveguides. Accordingly, two types of efficient beam splitters input channels proposed investigated. One the is a 1×2 splitter, which achieves 50/50 splitting based on structural symmetry. Since both output waveguides, this splitter immune interferences at ends. The other 1×3 in one channel waveguide others It shown that can provide equal ratios guiding band if defects proper parameters...

Because the dispersion properties of surface magnetoplasmons (SMPs) in a magnetized plasmonic material closely depend on its cladding dielectric, it is possible to completely trap SMPs system consisting with dielectric heterostructure. By using semiconductor, our finite element simulation (performed software COMSOL) shows that terahertz one-way such can be trapped at interface heterostructure and hence, focused subwavelength-scale hotspot dramatically enhanced field generated. Moreover, SMP...

A nanoantenna that consists of a pair perpendicular diabolo metal elements with common central junction is proposed for creating magnetic field enhancement. It shown such can generate single hot spot any polarization state in near-infrared frequency range, strongly confining and enhancing under less restrained conditions. The spectral response the be tailored as will by altering its geometric parameters. Moreover, this cross-diabolo preserve character in-plane dipole far-field patterns high fidelity.
