A coronary artery fistula (CAF) is an abnormal communication between a and great vessel or cardiac chamber. CAFs are very rare mostly of congenital origin, but they can also be acquired. Patients usually asymptomatic since the majority small in size; hence, most cases discovered incidentally during routine angiographic investigations. Moderate large symptomatic, causing angina pectoris due to steal phenomenon, carry high risk serious complications such as myocardial infarction, heart...
In patients undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy using left bundle branch area pacing (LBBP-CRT), the addition of a coronary sinus lead, that is, Left optimized CRT (LOT-CRT) might confer additional benefits. To compare electrocardiographic characteristics between LBBP-CRT and LOT-CRT MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (NICMP) block (LBBB) ventricular ejection fraction <35% who underwent implantation an atrial lead were included in this prospective study....
We aimed to assess the impact of antibiotic optimization education along with understanding antibiogram on antibiotic-prescribing practices, consumption, antimicrobial resistance and cost antibiotics in a tertiary care hospital New Delhi. We divided study into 3 phases-before after intervention phase between. collected data demographics, indication for prescription, appropriateness or reasons inappropriate uses, consumption (i.e. rate duration use), bacterial cost. Interventions included...
The long-term consequences of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), which include altered lung functions and compromised cardiopulmonary capacity, impact functional performance quality life. This study investigates the effects virtual reality-based exercise programs on pulmonary functions, performance, life in children with repaired CDH.A randomized controlled clinical trial was performed. Fifty-two CDH (aged 6-10 years) were enrolled randomly allocated to exercises plus traditional...
A woman in her early fifties with a known case of severe rheumatic mitral stenosis presented to the out-patient department increasing breathlessness.
Methylglyoxal (MG) is responsible for advanced glycation end-product formation, the mechanisms leading to diabetes pathogenesis and complications like acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Sugar metabolites, amino acids fatty are possible substrates MG. The study aimed measure plasma MG substrate levels using a validated gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method explore their association with ACS risk in type 2 mellitus (T2DM). included 150 T2DM patients as cases without controls analysis...

This case report presents the ECG findings of a patient in their 40s with post-tubercular bronchiectasis who presented acute exacerbation dyspnea and no chest pain.
A 19-year-old male presented with dyspnea on exertion (New York Heart Association [NYHA] class II) and occasional palpitations for six months. He had initially been evaluated at another facility diagnosed dilated cardiomyopathy.Despite treatment, there was no improvement in his symptoms. On evaluation our centre, previous electrocardiograms appeared normal. However, palpation of radial pulse one minute revealed runs regular tachycardia, interspersed a normal rate.A 30-second rhythm strip...
Abstract A 11-year-old with history of mitral valve replacement presented low-grade fever, breathlessness and multiple episodes haemoptysis for 2 days. Detailed echocardiographic evaluation revealed possible prosthetic thrombosis, which was confirmed by fluoroscopy. She thrombolysed low dose infusion tenecteplase. Post thrombolysis her symptoms improved, mobility restored, subsided. Left sided thrombosis presenting predominantly is very rare.
A 6-year-old boy, with a history of being operated for Wilms tumour, had presented to us symptoms insidious onset gradually increasing breathlessness on exertion. Echocardiography revealed 46×30 mm pedunculated homogenous mass attached free wall the left atrium prolapsing into ventricle during diastole, severe pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular dysfunction (figure 1). Since he contrast-enhanced CT scan abdomen few months back which did not show any recurrence, provisional diagnosis...
A 50-year-old woman presented with complaints of palpitations and breathlessness 6 months’ duration. She was being treated elsewhere as a case dilated cardiomyopathy. On evaluation she had racoon eyes, poor progression R wave on ECG low-voltage complexes in the limb leads. Echocardiography revealed biventricular hypertrophy, diastolic dysfunction moderate systolic dysfunction. Cardiac MRI showed features suggestive amyloidosis. Bone marrow biopsy raised plasma cell count, endomyocardial...
