Abstract Nanocomposites of cassava starch reinforced with waxy nanocrystals were prepared. They showed a 380% increase the rubbery storage modulus (at 50 °C) and 40% decrease in water vapor permeability. X‐ray spectra show that composite was more amorphous than neat matrix, which attributed to higher equilibrium content composites. TGA confirmed this result its thermal derivative suggested formation hydrogen bonding between glycerol nanocrystals. The reinforcing effect strong filler/matrix...

Abstract In relation to the bulk high‐impact polystyrene process, this work investigates partition between phases of styrene and an initiator: tert‐ butyl peroctoate. A Flory‐Huggins model was applied for predicting phase separation point partitions For blends styrene, polystyrene, a styrene‐butadiene diblock copolymer, provides reasonable predictions ternary equilibrium diagram. polybutadiene, peroctoate, peroctoate measured at 25 °C. At emulated conversions 13% or lower, reached after 1 h...

New trends in the area of material improvement are use natural nano-charges from renewable biomass, improving value and sustainability our country’s products. Bamboo is widely used many countries world, although Argentina, despite being commercialized exported for manufacture wood floors, it goes unnoticed having native species. Therefore, researchers identified exotic species present country working on novel uses. In this context, proposed Argentine Tacuara Cane (Guadua Angustifolia Kunth),...

Variable Length Markov Chains with Exogenous Covariates (VLMCX) are stochastic models that use Generalized Linear Models to compute transition probabilities, taking into account both the state history and time-dependent exogenous covariates. The beta-context algorithm selects a relevant finite suffix (context) for predicting next symbol. This estimates flexible tree-structured by aggregating irrelevant states in process enables model incorporate covariates over time. research uses data from...

This paper is composed of two main results concerning chains infinite order which are not necessarily continuous. The first one a decomposition the transition probability kernel as countable mixture unbounded probabilistic context trees. used to design simulation algorithm works combination algorithms given by Comets et al. (2002) and Gallo (2009). second result gives sufficient conditions on for this stop after an almost surely finite number steps. Direct consequences last existence...
