Phosphine-free palladium-catalyzed Mizoroki-Heck reaction was performed using ball-milling in polyethylene glycol under mild conditions. Good to excellent yields of coupling products were obtained. This activation technique also allowed the concomitant formation round shaped Pd-PEG nanoparticles that characterized by TEM analysis.
Abstract Synthetic mechanochemistry, the use of mechanical force produced by milling, grinding or extruding, as an activation technique, provides access to chemical entities all kinds. This Review is focused on examples reported so far known Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), and effectively evaluated bioactive molecules, prepared mechanosynthesis. Three families molecules are discussed: heterocyclic compounds, metal complexes peptides. Advantages mechanochemistry approach highlighted...

Modulators of the serotonin 5-HT6 receptor (5-HT6R) offer a promising strategy for treatment cognitive deficits that are associated with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Herein, we report design, synthesis, characterization novel class 5-HT6R antagonists is based on 1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline core. The most active compounds exhibited comparable binding affinity to reference compound, SB-742457, markedly improved selectivity. Lead optimization led identification...

Abstract The transmetalation of bimetallic copper–sodium silsesquioxane cages, namely, [(PhSiO 1.5 ) 10 (CuO) 2 (NaO 0.5 ] (“Cooling Tower”; 1 ), 12 4 (“Globule”; and 6 (PhSiO (“Sandwich”; 3 resulted in the generation three types hexanuclear cylinder‐like copper silsesqui‐ oxanes, (C H 9 OH) 5 ( 8 O (PhCN) (MeOH) (NaCl)(C (H O) ). products show a prominent “solvating system–structure” dependency, as determined by X‐ray diffraction. Topological analysis cages – was also performed. In...
A silver-catalyzed cycloisomerization reaction of a series o-alkynylbenzohydroxamic acids is reported. Several 5-exo-dig and 6-endo-dig modes cyclization were observed with the nitrogen or oxygen atoms amide group acting as nucleophiles. The selectivity was strongly dependent on silver salt used presence triphenylphosphine an additive. Indeed, while use Ag2O at room temperature allowed isolation isobenzofuran-1-one oximes (7 compounds, 48–92% yield), [Ag(Im)]n concomitant addition 2 equiv...
Allylic sulfoxides, via [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement and oxidative addition of the resulting allylic sulfenate esters to Pd(0), are found be excellent precursors anions. This hitherto unknown reactivity is applied in a new Pd(0)-catalyzed domino sequence involving anion generation followed by arylation afford aryl sulfoxides.
In this report, recent advancements in metal-catalysed homogeneous transformations involving N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) are described. spite of the efficiency NHCs organocatalysis1 and their advantageous properties coordination chemistry,2 because ever growing interest NHC chemistry space limitations, focus report is transition-metal mediated catalysis.
Ready, steady, copper! The efficient copper-catalyzed formation of amides, from benzylic alcohols and hydrochloride salts primary- secondary amines, uses cheap readily available copper oxide, as well tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) an oxidant. Detailed facts importance to specialist readers are published "Supporting Information". Such documents peer-reviewed, but not copy-edited or typeset. They made submitted by the authors. A solvent-free thermo-mechanochemical synthesis of amides from carboxylic acids and amines, performed by reactive extrusion, in the absence coupling agents, additives or catalyst is reported. We developed a Bayesian optimization approach able to handle holistically various parameters (temperature, reaction time, excess starting material) as well setting target for sustainability. The methodology proved be straightforward, high yielding, sustainable easily optimized each set materials with...
The steric and electronic influence of backbone substitution in IMes-based (IMes = 1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene) N -heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) was probed by synthesizing the [RhCl(CO) 2 (NHC)] series complexes to quantify experimentally Tolman parameter (electronic) percent buried volume (% V bur , steric) parameters. corresponding ruthenium–indenylidene were also synthesized tested benchmark metathesis transformations establish possible correlations between reactivity NHC
