We report the exfoliation of graphite in aqueous solutions under high shear rate [$\sim10^8s^{-1}$] turbulent flow conditions, with a 100\% yield. The material is stabilized without centrifugation at concentrations up to 100 g/L using carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt formulate conductive printable inks. sheet resistance blade coated films below$\sim2Ω/\square$. This simple and scalable production route for graphene-based inks large area printing flexible electronics.

Abstract Saturable absorbers (SA) operating at terahertz (THz) frequencies can open new frontiers in the development of passively mode-locked THz micro-sources. Here we report fabrication SAs by transfer coating and inkjet printing single few-layer graphene films prepared liquid phase exfoliation graphite. Open-aperture z -scan measurements with a 3.5 quantum cascade laser show transparency modulation ∼80%, almost one order magnitude larger than that reported to date frequencies....

The composite coating can effectively inhibit bacterial proliferation and promote the expression of bone-building genes in-vitro. Therefore, a novel production was used to produce poly-ether-ether-ketone, reduced graphene oxide (PEEK-rGO) scaffolds with ratios 1-3%, combining different lattice for bone implant. An inexpensive method developed prepare new coatings on PEEK scaffold (rGO). Mechanical testing, data analysis cell culture tests in-vitro biocompatibility characterisation were...

The study describes a homogenisation technique of developing Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and calcium hydroxyapatite (cHAp) composite with periodic pattern lattice structures. continuum depiction the discrete structures was evaluated to retain PEEK cellulose properties cell applied dental implants. Design approaches were considered, using different software modelling optimise orthotropic material by establishing an optimal variable density distribution in geometric model implant. A...

The objective of this research is to develop a high tear strength suture pads from polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite reinforced with degummed silk fibers (DSFs) as artificial hand skin for suturing practice. influences fiber diameters, lengths, and contents DSFs on mechanical properties the prepared PDMS/DSFs composites were systematically investigated. In preparation, PDMS resin silicone oil mixed, followed by gradual addition continuous stirring. uncured mixture was then cast in molds...

The performance of polymer–fullerene bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells is strongly dependent on the vertical distribution donor and acceptor regions within BHJ layer. In this work, we investigate in detail effect hole transport layer (HTL) physical properties thermal annealing morphology cell performance. For purpose, have prepared with four distinct formulations poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) buffer layers. samples were subjected to annealing,...

Objective and methods: In this study, novel nanomaterials made of amorphous carbon, CNTs, titanium diboride, TiBN were grown by vacuum deposition techniques to assess their role as potential stent coatings. Platelet response towards the nanostructured surfaces samples was analyzed in line with physicochemical properties. As skeleton is formed mainly stainless steel, material used reference material. adhesion studies carried out atomic force microscopy scanning electron observations. A cell...

In this work, different graphene-related materials (GRMs) and polyamide-6 (PA6) were melt compounded by twin screw extrusion. The GRMs prepared graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs), oxide (GO), reduced (rGO) silane functionalised (f-rGO). had comparable lateral size (20–30 μm), but thickness surface chemistry which resulted in behaviour processing of flow, maximum loading the PA6 matrix (15%wt for GNPs, 10%wt GO, 2%wt rGO 2.5%wt f-rGO) as well mechanical properties. Graft copolymers, deproteinized natural rubber-graft-polystyrene (DPNR-g-PS) and rubber-graft-polyacrylonitrile (DPNR-g-PAN), were prepared by the grafting of styrene (St) or acrylonitrile (AN) monomers onto DPNR latex via emulsion copolymerization. Then, ultrafine fully vulcanized powdered rubbers (UFPNRs) produced electron beam irradiation graft copolymers in presence di-trimethylolpropane tetra-acrylate (DTMPTA) as a crosslinking agent and, subsequently, fast spray drying process. In this work, shape memory polymers (SMPs) were developed from a combination of bio-based benzoxazine (BZ) monomer and polyurethane prepolymer (PU-prepolymer), both derived raw materials. The BZ (V-fa monomer) was synthesized through Mannich condensation reaction using vanillin, paraformaldehyde, furfurylamine. PU-prepolymer obtained by reacting palm oil polyol (MW = 1400 Da) toluene diisocyanate (TDI). To investigate the curing behavior poly(V-fa/urethane), with mass ratio 50/50,...
