Dorstenia stellaris is a new species from southeastern Brazil. This endemic to the region and differs others by its star shaped coenanthium cordiform leaves. A new species of Sorocea A. Saint-Hilaire, S. carautana M. D. Vianna, Carrijo & Romaniuc (Moraceae s. str.), was discovered in the hills southern Rio de Janeiro vicinity Paraty. Abstract Sorocea longipedicellata (Moraceae) is described and illustrated as a species new to the Atlantic rainforest domain. The related group of with completely spinulose dentate leaf margins.
