A network of 16 Medipix-2 (MPX) silicon pixel devices was installed in the ATLAS detector cavern at CERN. It designed to measure composition and spectral characteristics radiation field experiment its surroundings. This study demonstrates that MPX can also be used as a self-sufficient luminosity monitoring system. The detectors collect data independently data-recording chain, thus they provide independent measurements bunch-integrated ATLAS/LHC luminosity. In particular, located close enough...
Results of detailed simulations the charge transfer inefficiency a prototype serial readout CCD chip are reported. The effect radiation damage on operating in particle detector at high frequency future accelerator is studied, specifically creation two electron trap levels, 0.17 eV and 0.44 below bottom conduction band. Good agreement found between using ISE-TCAD DESSIS program an analytical model for former level but not latter. Optimum operation predicted to be about 250 K where effects...
Charge Coupled Devices (CCDs) have been successfully used in several high energy physics experiments over the past two decades. Their spatial resolution and thin sensitive layers make them an excellent tool for studying short-lived particles. The Linear Collider Flavour Identification (LCFI) collaboration is developing Column-Parallel CCDs (CPCCDs) vertex detector of International (ILC). CPCCDs can be read out many times faster than standard CCDs, significantly increasing their operating...

Class D audio amplifiers are used in the devices. Nowadays, they preferred due to their high power efficiency compared other classes such as: class A, B and AB. In this paper, a amplifier is designed. It uses MOSFETs switching mode, closed-loop with second order integrator, pulse width modulator low pass filter. The system simulated Orcad-PSpice software. Simulated results show good values of THD+N, SNR, PSRR Efficiency.

<span>In this work, we have designed and simulated a proposed architecture good performances single-ended class-D audio amplifier (CDA). The circuit is build using pulse-width modulation (PWM). We novel RC network as negative feedback loop attached to second-order integrator get free of high-frequency carrier ripples reach improved output accuracy, thus performance efficiency. This extremely reduces total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N). used passive butterworth filter. fulfills...

A luminosity determination based on thermal neutron counting with six MPX silicon pixel devices installed in the ATLAS cavern is presented. Recently, Collaboration published final √s=8 TeV results. This made possible to perform a detailed comparison and verify potential of as novel method for measurements supplement well-established presently used procedures. measurement unique network has advantage that neutrons, which pass devices, cannot result from activation processes material nearby....
