Abstract Jiama is the largest porphyry-skarn ore system in Gangdese metallogenic belt, Tibet. It composed of porphyry Cu-Mo, Cu-polymetallic skarn, Cu-Pb-Zn manto, and distal vein Au orebodies with associated Ag, W, Bi. However, precise timing magmatism hydrothermal events at remains obscure. Here, using high-precision chemical abrasion-isotope dilution-thermal ionization mass spectrometry (CA-ID-TIMS) U-Pb zircon dating ore-bearing post-ore intrusions, we accurately constrain lifespan...

Abstract The Tiegelongnan Cu (Au) deposit is the largest copper newly discovered in Bangong–Nujiang metallogenic belt. has a clear alteration zoning consisting of, from core to margin, potassic propylitic, superimposed by phyllic and advanced argillic alteration. shallow part of consists high sulphidation‐state overprint, mainly comprising disseminated pyrite Cu–S minerals such as bornite, covellite, digenite, enargite. At depth porphyry‐type mineralization comprises chalcopyrite, pyrite,...

Abstract The Tiegelongnan deposit is a newly discovered super‐large porphyry‐epithermal Cu‐(Au) in the western part of Bangong Co‐Nujiang metallogenic belt, Tibet (China). Field geology and geochronology indicate that porphyry mineralization was closely related to Early Cretaceous intermediate‐felsic intrusions (ca. 123–120 Ma). Various epithermal ore gangue mineral types were middle‐shallow orebody, indicating presence at Tiegelongnan. Potassic, propylitic, phyllic advanced argillic...

It mainly controlled tectonic movement Oceanic Plate (post-subduction extension). After closure Ocean, intrusions emplaced at around 121 Ma area, which might be result continental crust thickening and collision Qiangtang Lhasa terranes, based on crustal radiogenic isotopic signature....

In classic orogenic models, the mountain range is underlain by a deep crustal root. Here we present and upper mantle structures along two receiver function profiles across Qilian, an orogen experiencing recent growth at northern margin of Tibetan plateau. Opposite to expected root beneath orogen, Moho Qilian arch-like, shallower center deepens up 10 km its southern boundaries.
