Coordination polymers (CPs) are a diverse class of multi-dimensional compounds that show promise as photocatalysts for degrading dyes in polluted water. A novel one-dimensional (1D) metal−organic nanotube {[Cd2(ADC)2(bpp)3(H2O)]2·8H2O}n (MONT-1), based on mixed organic ligands, has been synthesized and characterized. MONT-1 presents the first independent 1D with mesohelical structure a fascinating topology of → 2D interdigital architecture side arms. This compound also exhibits high thermal stability blue-shift emission large intensity enhancement compared that free ligand can be explored for potential blue luminescent materials.
