Loss of proprioception following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury has been well documented. We evaluated in both the injured and uninjured limb 25 patients with ACL healthy controls, as assessed by joint position sense (JPS), threshold for detection passive movement (TDPM) postural sway during single-limb stance on a force plate. There were significant proprioceptive deficits ACL-deficient knees compared control knees, angle reproduction test (on JPS) single stance. The degree loss...

Purpose To assess whether titanium cages are an effective alternative to tricortical iliac crest bone graft for anterior column reconstruction in patients with active pyogenic and tuberculous spondylodiscitis. Overview of Literature The use metal spinal infections, though described, is not without controversy. Methods Seventy either or vertebral osteomyelitis underwent a single staged debridement, the mesh cage adjuvant posterior instrumentation....

Gorham's disease is a rare disorder characterized by clinical and radiological disappearance of bone proliferation non-neoplastic vascular tissue. The was first reported Jackson in 1838 boneless arm. then described detail 1955 Gorham Stout. Since then, about 200 cases have been the literature, with only 28 involving spine. We report 2 spine review related literature to gain more understanding this disease.

Background Infectious spondylodiscitis is a debilitating condition and evidence-based medicine dictates confirming the diagnosis before treatment. Computed tomography-guided spinal biopsy plays major role hence we would like to determine its utility in current clinical practice. Purpose The purpose of this study percentage confirmatory positives CT-guided patients who were clinicoradiologically diagnosed with infectious spondylitis. Material Methods A retrospective analysis underwent for...

Purpose The aim of the study is to report clinical characteristics, early diagnosis, management, and outcome children with multidrug-resistant (MDR) tubercular spondylodiscitis assess detection rifampicin resistance using Xpert MTB/ RIF assay. Overview Literature MDR tuberculosis on rise, especially in developing countries. incidence rate has been reported as 8.9% children. Study Design Retrospective study. Purpose To report the prevalence of patients with multidrug-resistant (MDR) tubercular spondylodiscitis and their outcomes. Additionally, to assess role Xpert MTB/RIF assay in early detection MDR tuberculosis. Overview Literature tuberculosis is increasing globally. The World Health Organization (WHO) has strongly recommended for Methods From 2006 2015, a retrospective study was conducted on treated spine. Only whose diagnosis confirmed using either culture...

Bilateral simultaneous fracture dislocation of the talus is a very rare injury. It occurs usually following high-velocity injuries. We report 45-year-old man who presented with bilateral talar heavy stone falling on him. On his right side, he had open lateral process and left side closed neck dislocation. He underwent immediate debridement external fixator application for reduction internal fixation talus. At end 34 months’ follow-up, was able to walk up 2 km without pain. His ankle range...
