Modulation-doping was theoretically proposed and experimentally proved to be effective in increasing the power factor of nanocomposites (Si(80)Ge(20))(70)(Si(100)B(5))(30) by carrier mobility but not figure-of-merit (ZT) due increased thermal conductivity. Here we report an alternative materials design, using alloy Si(70)Ge(30) instead Si as nanoparticles Si(95)Ge(5) matrix, increase conductivity, leading a ZT 1.3 ± 0.1 at 900 °C.

Filled-skutterudites are promising mid-temperature thermoelectric materials for heat-to-electricity conversion. Traditional preparation methods need a very long time annealing (7 to 14 days) form the right skutterudite phase. Annealing is especially critical p-type filled-skutterudites, since Fe4Sb12 needs filler atoms enter cage stable In this work, we prepared Ce and Nd double-filled by directly ball-milling quenched ingot without followed hot-pressing. The results showed that with...

Mobile Crowdsensing (MCS) is a promising paradigm that recruits users to cooperatively perform sensing task. When recruiting users, existing works mainly focus on selecting group of with the best objective ability, e.g., user's probability or frequency covering task locations. However, we argue completion effect depends not only but also their subjective collaboration likelihood each other. Furthermore, even though can find well-behaved in single-round scenario, while multi-round scenario...

Efficient allocation and utilization of water resources are critical for the sustainable development agriculture in arid regions, particularly those heavily reliant on irrigation. Xinjiang, one China’s major agricultural faces significant challenges managing due to its climate dependence This study investigates spatial–temporal dynamics crop footprint (CWF) driving factors Xinjiang. Unlike previous studies Xinjiang that primarily focus total footprint, this research emphasizes blue (CWFB)...

Recently, the growing popularity of Spatial Crowd-sourcing (SC), allowing untrusted platforms to obtain a great quantity information about workers and tasks' locations, has raised numerous privacy concerns. In this paper, we investigate privacy-preserving task assignment in online scenario, where tasks arrive at platform real time should be assigned immediately. Traditional assignments usually make benchmark decide following assignment. However, when location is considered, does not work...

Thallium doping into lead telluride has been demonstrated to increase the dimensionless thermoelectric figure-of-merit (ZT) by enhancing Seebeck coefficient due creation of resonant states close Fermi level without affecting thermal conductivity. However, process is tedious, energy consuming, and small in quantities since it involves melting, slow cooling for crystal growth, long time annealing, post-crushing hot pressing. Here we show that a similar ZT value about 1.3 at 400 °C achieved on...

Wireless information and energy transfer (WIET) is a prominent technology to prolong the lifetime of battery-charging wireless networks. In this paper, we exploit benefit massive MIMO for WIET under external interference, propose antenna partition decoding harvesting. Considering effects i.e., interfering reception benefiting harvesting, analyze tradeoff between data rate harvested energy, obtain achievable rate-energy (R-E) region. Then, low-complexity receive algoritinterference...

With the development of communications, networking, and information technology, Crowdsensed Data Trading (CDT) becomes a novel data trading paradigm. In CDT, requesters publish crowdsensing tasks with specific requirements, then workers complete these tasks, upload obtain corresponding rewards. To efficiently deal trading, most existing CDT systems assume trusted centralized platform. However, we argue that platform may collude or to trick others for achieving more benefits. For example,...

Spatial Crowdsourcing (SC) has been adopted in various applications such as Gigwalk and Uber, where a platform takes location-based tasks (e.g., picking up passengers) from requester selects suitable workers to perform them. In most existing works, the based on worker information, which suffers serious privacy issues. Some works have considered issues, but they still suffer either of two limitations: (i) Privacy cannot be protected simultaneously; (ii) Third-party trusted entities are...

Mobile crowdsensing (MCS) has attained much attention for gathering distributed mobile users to complete large-scale sensing tasks. To ensure the task completion, enough should be motivated participate in Thus, research MCS focuses on proposing incentive mechanism, and these works usually focus offline scenario, where information of all is available platform.
