The purpose of our study is to describe and define an anatomic variation located close the bicipital groove using MRI with gross histologic correlation in cadavers.Ten fresh male human shoulders were harvested used this investigation. They derived from persons a mean age death 78.9 years (age range, 58-92 years). MR arthrography proton density-weighted sequences was obtain images axial, coronal, sagittal planes. After imaging, specimens cut sections band saw. slices then photographed allow...

To evaluate the anatomy of ulnar side wrist in region triangular fibrocartilage (TFC) complex, with special focus on ulnomeniscal homologue (UMH) and its relationship to surrounding structures.Institutional review board approval informed consent were not required. Ten upper extremities harvested from nonembalmed cadavers four women six men (age range at death, 56-97 years; mean age 83 years) used according institutional guidelines. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging MR arthrography performed...

To demonstrate how radial and ulnar deviation of the wrist can affect visualization intrinsic intercarpal ligaments using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, MR arthrography gross anatomic inspection in cadavers. The detectability ten fresh human wrists was analyzed coronal, axial sagittal images neutral position with imaging arthrography. The findings were then correlated inspection. Additionally, quantitative measurements including radiocarpal distances capitate angles performed.Differences...

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physiologic extent and thickness cartilage bare areas distal radioulnar joint with gross anatomic examination, MRI, MR arthrography forearm in neutral position, maximal pronation, supination.MRI were performed on 10 cadaveric specimens (mean age at death, 82.9 years; range, 56-97 years) supination. Cartilage surface assessed, degenerative changes evaluated consensus by two musculoskeletal radiologists. Gross histologic examinations used as...

Abstract Objective To develop a CT-based scoring system for assessment of hip arthropathy in AS. Methods All AS patients were prospectively recruited, consented and underwent whole-body stereoradiographs pelvis CT, which assessed by two independent radiologists. Stereoradiographs according to Kellgreen-Lawrence BASRI-h. For the Hip CT score (HACTSAS), joints divided into 7 segments scored joint space, osteophytes, subchondral cysts/erosions. Patients clinically range motion (ROM), pain...

The anatomy of the peroneus longus and tibialis posterior tendons is well described in literature from both radiology. Though a slip connecting these two structures anatomic literature, its existence has not been confirmed with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this study cadaver, such connection documented using high-resolution MRI histologic correlation. This can provide support to Lisfranc joint complex further stabilize region first second metatarsal bases.

To describe osseous landmarks that allow identification of the attachments ligaments and tendons in distal medial aspect humerus.Reliable humerus were identified 34 well-preserved specimens from a paleopathologic collection. These then sought magnetic resonance (MR) images ten cadaveric elbow so ease their visualization optimal imaging plane could be assessed. assign these to specific humerus, we cut slices photographed examined them. Subsequently, prevalence as well attachment sites this...
