Underutilized lignocellulosic biomass, such as aquatic plants, faces sustainability challenges due to energy-intensive treatments. This study investigates the use of Bacillus sp. for biological pretreatment water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) aiming improve efficiency alkyl levulinate (AL) production, which are valuable compounds used fuel additives, solvents, and plasticizers. The with resulted in stable bacterial growth a significant increase cellulose content (up 27%) compared untreated...

Abstract The conversion of vanillin from biomass is an important sustainable practice, enabling the generation valuable products renewable resources. This study considered aldol condensation with acetone using conventional heating and microwave irradiation, catalyzed by hydrotalcite‐type materials. These catalysts were synthesized via a combined mechanochemical coprecipitation method to reduce synthesis time waste. Variables such as molar metal ratio isomorphic substitution in hydrotalcite...

Heteropolyacids (HPAs) and related compounds have received considerable attention as solid acids in recent years. HPAs possess unique physicochemical properties, with their structural mobility multifunctionality being the most important for catalysis. They a very strong Bronsted acidity appropriate redox properties that make them excellent catalysts substoichiometric quantities. This review will focus on describing new developments application of organic synthesis heterocycles. Heterocycles...

A simple, clean, solvent-free preparation of flavones by the use a silica-supported Preyssler heteropolyacid as reusable catalyst is described. High selectivity and very good yields (87−94%) were obtained in short reaction times (7−13 min). Bioassays for insecticidal activity against Spodoptera frugiperda carried out with set flavones. showed that some had moderate activity. Quantitative structure−activity relationships established on available data purpose predicting number structurally...

The mosquito larvicidal activities of a series chalcones and some derivatives were subjected to quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) study, using more than thousand constitutional, topological, geometrical, electronic molecular descriptors calculated with Dragon software. activity values for 28 active compounds the predicted, showing in general good approximation experimental found literature. Chalcones having one or both electron-rich rings showed high toxicity. However, was...
