This study provides an analysis of vegetation and environmental relationships as well diversity patterns in sand dunes gravel desert plains northern Badrud, Iran. A total 63 species representing 49 genera 15 families were recorded. The largest Asteraceae (22.2 %) Chenopodiaceae (19.0 %). Therophytes (66.67 the dominant life form. Chronological showed 57.14 % Irano-Turani elements. Data from 60 1.5 2 m² quadrats, selected systematically randomized along three transects, collected. Both...

Variations in the phytoplankton of Zayandeh-Rood Dam Lake were studied seasonally from September 2005 to August 2006 at 4 different stations. A total 112 species and 53 genera belonging 6 divisions identified. The Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Euglenophyta, Dinophyta found frequently. Chrysophyta low numbers. Cyclotella meneghinina Kütz., a centric diatom, was dominant all density between 470 150,470 cells/cm^3. According Shannon-Weaver Index, highest lowest diversities...

Biogeographic barriers for freshwater biota can be effective at various spatial scales. At the largest scale, organisms become genetically isolated by their high mountain ranges, vast deserts, and inability to cross oceans. Isolation distance of aquatic plants is expected stronger across than alongside ridges whereas heterogeneity habitats among populations temporary droughts may influence connectivity hamper dispersal. Suitable plant became reduced, even widespread submerged Potamogeton...

An efficient DNA isolation protocol specifically modified to get pure quality required for molecular studieshas been reported in this paper. Some aquatic plants (Potamogeton spp., Ceratophyllum demersum and Myriophyllum spicatum) were used the study. The developed will be useful getting high DNA. Instead of using available extraction kits, can DNA, freefrom proteins polysaccharide compounds. absorbance rate A260/A280 was 1.92 ± 0.069 A260/A230 1.73 by spectrophotometer NanoDrop machines...

Abstract Potamogeton pectinatus L. is a widespread aquatic species distributed widely in ecosystems of Iran. In this study, inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers were used to assess the genetic diversity 35 accessions and 175 individuals P. collected from different regions total, 123 polymorphic DNA fragments amplified five combinations ISSR primers. The based principle coordinate analyses (PCoA) demonstrated four groups mostly corresponding with their geographic origins (North,...
