AbstractFischerella ambigua was isolated during a screening program from soil sample collected paddy-fields in the north of Iran. It shown that it excreted broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal substance culture medium. Bioassay-guided fraction medium F. led to isolation novel antimicrobial substance, which named parsiguine, exhibited activities. The structure parsiguine determined by spectroscopic methods, including NMR, MS, IR, UV.Keywords: : AntibioticAntimicrobial...

Antifungal and antibacterial activity of the microalgae from paddy fields in south Iran were studied. Soil samples collected Fars province cultured BG11 medium. Supernatants, methanolic hexane extracts biomass 60 strains isolated screened against six bacteria four fungi. The culture supernatants 21 8 exhibited significant effect 17 showed antifungal effect. No antimicrobial was detected no inhibited growth In present screening, Chroococcus dispersus, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii Chlorella...

Soil cyanobacteria isolated from the paddy fields of seven provinces in Iran was evaluated for antimicrobial activity. Aqueous, petroleum ether, and methanol extracts 76 microalgae were examined properties against four bacteria two fungi. Of total microalgae, 22.4% (17 cyanobacteria) exhibited effects. Selected with positive activities members families Stigonemataceae, Nostocaceae, Oscillatoriaceae, Chroococcaceae. Growth Bacillus subtilis Persian Type Culture Collection (PTCC) 1204...

Nitrogen fixation blue-green algae make a major contribution to the fertility of soil. It has been suggested that (BGA) assist higher plant growth by supplying substances. There are numerous works about roles in paddy soils and rice but little on other plants. In this research, 19 morphospecies belonging three families heterocystous non-heterocystous from several fields north Iran were identified out which seven species new Iran.

This investigation tested the hypothesis that native cyanobacteria can acclimatize and grow under combination of environmental factors and/or how does their process change with age culture? Here, we tried to combine multiple simulated what happens in natural ecosystems. We analyzed physiological response terrestrial cyanobacterium, Cylindrospermum sp. The possibility of change in the phycobilisome status, photosynthetic pigments, ratios and light parameters soil cyanobacteria Fischerella sp. FS 18 has been investigated by two pre-treatment factors, with neutral extreme alkaline pH (7 9) over a short period. After purification, were subjected to treatment for under one hour at 20 min intervals (20, 40 60 min). A sample was selected as control without pre-treatment.
