Based on published records and original data, a list of the epibiont suctorian peritrich ciliates (Ciliophora) halacarid hydrachnid mites is presented. Altogether 13 10 species from were listed. From this list, six one have been reported mites, while four found determined up to level. The remaining specimens upto generic do not share any some ciliate are specific certain taxonomic groups hosts. The host specificity both ciliates, localization body environment discussed. Five species of suctorian ciliates belonging to four different genera attached meiofaunal organisms Maldivian archipelago (Suvadiva Atoll) were documented. Three rare (Acineta sp., Thecacineta urceolata Liao & Dovgal, 2015 and Limnoricus ceter Jankowski, 1981) one common ciliate calix (Schröder, 1907) are re-described from nematodes (Croconema cinctum Cobb, 1920, Desmodorella tenuispiculum Allgén, 1928 Desmodora sp.) harpacticoid copepod basibionts. In addition, Trophogemma colantonii n....

Scant information is available regarding the prevalence and distribution of suctorian ciliates on halacarid mites. However, using this limited data from our laboratory systematics, biology, ecology that are epibionts mites, we redescribed four species: Limnoricus ceter (Jankowski), Praethecacineta halacari (Schulz), Thecacineta calix (Schroder) Acineta sulcata Dons. We also recognized Lissacineta allgeni Jankowski (Jankowski) as synonyms (Schluz), laophontis Paracineta moebiusi Kahl...

Epibiosis is a common phenomenon in marine systems. In environments, ciliates are among the most organisms adopting an epibiotic habitus and nematodes have been frequently reported as their basibionts. present study, we report several new records of peritrich suctorian ciliates-nematode association worldwide: from deep-sea pockmark field NW Madagascar margin (Indian Ocean), shallow vent area Gulf Naples (Mediterranean, Tyrrhenian Sea), MPA Trieste Adriatic mangrove system French Guiana...

A suctorian ciliate Loricophrya bosporica sp. nov. is described from the body surface of nematodes genus Desmoscolex collected in oxic/anoxic boundary Bosporus outlet area Black Sea. The new species differs relative L. sivertseni by development its body, which takes no more than half, or a third lorica length, absence crown-like projections at edge as for adhesive disk. From tuba considerably shorter stylotheca and prevalence to nematode host instead echinoderms.
