The application of 10 µM methyl jasmonate (MeJA) for the protection wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) photosystem II (PS II) against heat stress (HS) was studied. Heat induced at 42 °C to established plants, which were then recovered 25 and monitored during their growth study duration. Application MeJA resulted in increased enzymatic antioxidant activity that reduced content hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) enhanced photosynthetic efficiency. Exogenous had...

Chromium (Cr) in water bodies is considered as a major environmental issue around the world. In present study, aqueous Cr(VI) adsorption onto rice husk was studied function of various parameters. Equilibrium time achieved 2 h and maximum 78.6% at pH 5.2 120 mg L−1 initial concentration. isotherm experiments, sorption observed 379.63 g−1. Among four models, Dubinin–Radushkevich Langmuir models showed best fitting to data, suggesting physical monolayer be dominant mechanism. The kinetic...

Freshwater lakes present an ecological border between humans and a variety of host organisms. The study was designed to evaluate the microbiota composition distribution in Dal Lake at Srinagar, India. non-chimeric sequence reads were classified taxonomically into 49 phyla, 114 classes, 185 orders, 244 families 384 genera. Proteobacteria found be most abundant bacterial phylum all four samples. highest number observed species 3097 sample taken from least populated area during summer (LPS)...

Linum usitatissimum commonly known as flax or linseed is an important medicinal plant, produces medicinally potent lignans, used in the treatment of several human diseases. Lignans limited production natural plants does not meet increasing market demand. This study was conducted to establish easy and rapid method for vitro micropropagation lignans antioxidant secondary metabolites linseed. The results indicated that hypocotyl explants under effects thidiazuron (TDZ: 0.5 mg/L) + kinetin (Kn:...

The plant rhizosphere is not only a reservoir of microbes but also hub antimicrobial resistance genes. Rhizospheric Bacillus spp. are the potential bio-inoculants with versatile application in agriculture as bio-fertilizer and bio-fungicide. In current study, bio-control agent that species (n = 7) was screened for pattern to assess their risk before registering them bio-inoculant. All were categorized multi-drug-resistant (MDR), bacteria none either pan-drug-resistant (PDR) or...

Generally white color of the skin is regarded as a feature superiority and prettiness around world. Both males females in Pakistan apply skin-lightening creams (SLC) but they do not know about side-effects their constituents. Skin-lightening products include SLC related ointments. The are made by mixing fates water standard procedure. Here, 20 specimens were obtained subjected to mercury, hydroquinone total plate count (TPC). was determined using HPLC, mercury level assessed ICP OES finally...

The fruits of eggplants have different shapes and sizes, which render them ideal for metabolic engineering. They can aid in increasing eggplant chlorogenic acid content, a critical nutrient. Among the phenolic acids found eggplants, is most important highly bioactive. This essential because it promotes good health humans, its production fruit flesh, hydroxyquinone CoA transferase (SmHQT) enzyme crucial. Therefore, we explored this further by using agroinfiltration protocol, thereby comparing...
