Abstract Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) have been widely studied for biomedical applications due to their excellent properties, such as good biocompatibility, degradability, interlayer ion exchangeability, high loading capacity, pH‐responsive release, and large specific surface area. Furthermore, the flexibility in structural composition ease of modification LDHs makes it possible develop specifically functionalized meet needs different applications. In this review, recent advances...

Abstract The North China Plain, with a population of approximately 150 million, is facing severe water scarcity. over-exploitation groundwater in the region, accumulation amounts reaching more than billion m 3 , causes series hydrological and geological problems together consumption significant amount energy. Here, we highlight energy greenhouse gas-related environmental co-benefits South-to-North Water Diversion Project (SNWDP). Moreover, evaluate energy-saving effect SNWDP on exploitation...

Abstract The loading capacity and strategy of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) determine their suitability for drug delivery applications. In this study, two sizes MgAl‐CO 3 LDHs are converted into MgAl‐NO MgAl‐Cl by an acid‐salt method. influence the size type interlayer anions on studied compared. Here, Methylene Orange (MO) served as anionic structure to capacity. Due strongest anion‐exchange NO − larger distance LDHs, they have impressive high capacities, which make these useful...

Mesoporous MgAl(O) sorbents with different Mg/Al molar ratios (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5) were synthesized via a one-step surfactant assisted precipitation method. The structural properties of these systematically characterized by XRD, SEM, FT-IR, N2 adsorption–desorption and CO2-TPD. CO2 performance the sample was studied in fixed-bed reactor. results showed that xMgAl(O) possessed mesoporous structure, high specific surface areas abundant basic sites. In synthesis process, Mg Al species interacted...

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) have been extensively studied as drug delivery systems due to their favorable characteristics, including biocompatibility, high loading efficiency, and pH-responsive release. However, the current research predominantly focuses on LDHs carriers for various anionic drugs, while there are only limited reports hydrophobic drugs. In this study, we successfully achieved of a mimic, Nile red (NR), into using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) an intermediate storage...

As a byproduct of the coal gasification process, large amount slag is generated. The failure to fully dispose it has caused occupation land resources and environmental pollution. Before its comprehensive utilization, carbon ash constituents must be separated, for which flotation an effective method. However, small difference in surface hydrophobicity them cannot result high-efficiency separation. Therefore, colliding flow pulp conditioning device (CFPCD) was proposed this work improve...

Wastewater treatment is of great significance to environmental remediation. The exploration efficient and stable methods for wastewater still a challenging issue. Herein, heterojunction material with photocatalysis adsorption properties has been designed remove the complex pollutants from wastewater. (ZnO/TiO2 -PW12 , PW12 =[PW12 O40 ]3- ) was synthesized by calcining ZnTi-layered double hydroxide (ZnTi-LDH) intercalated Keggin-type polyoxometalate H3 . In construction ZnO/TiO2 it found that...

The behavior of a concrete specimen uniaxially embedded with shape memory alloy (SMA) wire actuated by electrical current is studied in this paper. main factors influencing the axial strain were examined through sophisticated experimental program. results indicate that SMA actuator can be employed as way prestressing for specimens and used controlling specimens. Also influences initial prestrain wires, modes activating current, actuation times, etc., on are significant.
