This article reports on the International Nanofluid Property Benchmark Exercise, or INPBE, in which thermal conductivity of identical samples colloidally stable dispersions nanoparticles “nanofluids,” was measured by over 30 organizations worldwide, using a variety experimental approaches, including transient hot wire method, steady-state methods, and optical methods. The nanofluids tested exercise were comprised aqueous nonaqueous basefluids, metal oxide particles, near-spherical elongated...

Hi ho silver! Coordination polymer chains assembled from a NiII hexaazamacrocycle and sodium 4,4′-biphenyldicarboxylate can be packed to form porous framework (see picture). Nanocomposites of silver particles matrix prepared by immersing the in AgNO3 solution, matrix-free nanoparticles (≈3 nm) isolated treatment solid with boiling dioctyl ether containing oleic acid. The superb thermal conduction property of graphene establishes as an excellent material for management. In this paper, we selected graphene/graphene oxide nanosheets the additives in nanofluids. authors interestingly found that highly enhanced critical heat flux (CHF) nanofluids containing graphene/graphene-oxide (GON) cannot be explained by both improved surface wettability and capillarity nanoparticles deposition layer. Here highlights GON nanofluid can exploited to maximize CHF most...

We show that acetone-derived graphene coating can effectively enhance the corrosion efficiency of copper (Cu) in a seawater environment (0.5–0.6 M (∼3.0–3.5%) sodium chloride). By applying drop acetone (∼20 μl cm−2) on Cu surfaces, rapid thermal annealing allows facile and synthesis films surfaces with monolayer coverage almost close to ∼100%. Under optimal growth conditions, is found have relatively high crystallinity, comparable common grown by chemical vapor deposition. The resulting...

The structure−electronic structure relationship of nonmetalated meso-tetraphenyl porphyrin (2H-TPP) on the (111) surfaces Ag, Cu, and Au was studied with a combination scanning tunneling microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, density functional theory. We observe that molecules form 2D network Ag(111), driven by attractive intermolecular interactions, while surface migration barriers are comparatively small charge transfer to adsorbed is minimal. This in contrast significant observed...

This article reports viscosity data on a series of colloidal dispersions collected as part the International Nanofluid Property Benchmark Exercise (INPBE). Data are reported for seven different fluids that include metal-oxide nanoparticles in water, and synthetic oil. These fluids, which also referred to 'nanofluids,' currently being researched their potential function heat transfer fluids. In recently published paper from INPBE study, thermal conductivity more than 30 laboratories around...
